Student answer (Band 5.0)
Many people argue that nowadays we have to many choices .This is an arguable topic but i believe nowadays we do have too many options to choose from.
The main reason is that nowadays when you look at any matter in life such as schools, colleges, universities, subjects and professions,we do have a lot of options to choose from and make a decision.Unlike old days where there used to be limited careers, subjects and institutes from choose from .This is great in a way that new generation has wide range of options to make a decison and learn new fields and explore new world.
In addition, more subjects to learn means wide range of careers and professions to choose from which is useful for new generation to be successful

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You state a clear position in the opening: you believe there are too many choices, and your examples about education and careers are relevant to the question. However, the response addresses the task only partially: it gives one main reason, then briefly notes a benefit of having more options without explaining how this relates to your overall view. The claim that choices help the younger generation succeed needs a specific example or explanation, and there is no developed discussion of possible disadvantages or a clear concluding summary. The response is also substantially below the required 250 words, so there is not enough development to support your position. Extend your reasoning with specific examples and explain the extent of your agreement.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a basic sequence: an introduction, a paragraph about education and career options, and a further point about the benefits of learning more subjects. Linking phrases such as “The main reason” and “In addition” help show how the ideas relate. However, the progression is limited because the second and third points largely repeat the same idea, and the response ends without a conclusion. Some sentences also run together, for example the opening and the list of educational choices, making the relationships between ideas less clear. Use separate, focused paragraphs, develop each point in a logical order, and add a concluding sentence that restates your position.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “professions,” “careers,” “subjects,” and “institutes,” so the reader can understand the general subject of your argument. However, the range is limited and several expressions are repeated, particularly “options to choose from.” Some word choices and collocations are inaccurate or awkward, such as “explore new world” and “wide range of options to make a decision.” Spelling errors, including “decison,” also reduce accuracy. Aim for more precise phrasing and vary repeated terms; for example, you could describe the range of educational and career pathways and explain how people make informed choices among them.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, including a contrast with “Unlike old days,” but the range of structures is limited and longer constructions are often faulty. Errors include “we have to many choices,” missing articles in “Unlike old days,” and the incomplete pattern “institutes from choose from.” There are also problems with sentence boundaries and punctuation, such as the opening sentences being joined without appropriate spacing or punctuation. These errors sometimes make the reader pause to interpret the meaning, although the main message remains understandable. Practise accurate article use, infinitive patterns such as “to choose from,” and punctuation between complete sentences before attempting more complex structures.
