Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You state a position—“I partially agree”—and the essay attempts to consider both the availability of choices and the difficulties people face in pursuing them. However, the response only partially addresses the question because it does not clearly explain whether people have too many choices or identify which kinds of choices are excessive. The examples about jobs, studying abroad and working in Canada are relevant in broad terms, but their connection to the central claim is often unclear or unsupported. For example, the point that students work hard to earn money does not show why having many choices is a problem. Develop a clear argument for each side, explain how the examples support it, and make your final position consistent and specific.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a recognisable essay structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “To begin with” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion. These paragraph breaks help readers see that you are attempting to present contrasting views. However, progression within the paragraphs is difficult to follow: the first moves from job choices to qualifications, entertainment and games without explaining the links, while the second shifts from pupils’ options to studying abroad and living conditions. Connect each paragraph’s sentences around one main point, and use clear references to show how each example supports it. Some linking expressions, such as “Moreover,” “Furthermore” and “Consequently,” are present, but they cannot replace logical connections between ideas.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt vocabulary related to work, education and lifestyle, including “qualification certificate,” “daily task” and “struggle,” and you try to use less common terms. However, the range is limited by frequent spelling errors and inaccurate word choices that make several ideas hard to understand, such as “better livehood,” “work-stratifaction,” “mitigate part” and “Exacerbate situation.” Some phrases also do not fit their intended meaning, including “work in their own mind” and “loss their dream chioces.” Focus first on accurate, natural expressions for your argument, and check spelling and word forms carefully. Using fewer ambitious words correctly will communicate your ideas more effectively than inserting uncommon vocabulary without secure control.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “whereas,” “because” and “when.” This shows an effort to vary sentence structure. However, errors are frequent and sometimes obscure meaning. Examples include “many expert believe,” “people have their own choices to work,” and “many individuals have to loss,” where agreement, sentence construction or verb forms are inaccurate. Articles and plurals are also inconsistent, as in “in many urban area” and “one people.” Punctuation and capitalisation need attention too, particularly the run-on spacing in “dramatically. Moreover” and inconsistent capitals after “For Example.” Practise building accurate short sentences first, then combine them using subordinate clauses and check each sentence’s subject and verb.
