Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the opening—“I totally agree”—and the response stays focused on how modern life offers more options. You support this view with examples involving medical careers and clothing, and you contrast these with people’s more limited choices in the past. These examples are relevant, but some claims are broad or not fully explained: the historical discussion of food and clothing does not always show precisely how greater choice improves people’s lives today. The conclusion restates your view but introduces “a peaceful life” and an “assured prospect” without explaining that link. To strengthen the response, develop fewer examples in more depth and explain the benefits and possible drawbacks of having many choices.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
There is an overall progression from your agreement, through examples, to a concluding statement, so the reader can follow the main line of thought. However, the response is presented as one long body paragraph, which makes the shifts between historical examples, medical careers, and clothing difficult to distinguish. Some linking expressions, such as “At last” and “however,” do not clearly express the relationship between the ideas they connect. The opening also moves quickly from the general claim to several examples without a clear topic sentence for each point. Use separate paragraphs for the introduction, main arguments, and conclusion, and organise each body paragraph around one example with explicit explanation.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “compromise,” “eliminating starvation,” “discipline,” and “establishing a peaceful life.” This shows an effort to express ideas beyond very basic language. However, spelling and word-choice errors are frequent and sometimes make the reader pause, as in “belived,” “feild,” “gaurntee,” and “scure.” Several combinations are also unnatural or unclear, including “wear leafs as a drip,” “approach for” food, and “advocate our livestyle.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations rather than ambitious wording that does not fit the meaning. Proofread spelling carefully and use a dictionary to check phrases in context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences with subordinate clauses, for example the sentence beginning “Most of the individuals examine…” This shows some range, but complex sentences are often difficult to control, and errors in sentence boundaries, agreement, articles, and verb forms recur. Examples include “as an human being,” “he or she have enhanced,” and the long sentence beginning “Most of the individuals examine,” which contains several clauses without clear punctuation. These problems sometimes make relationships between ideas hard to follow. Practise building complex sentences from shorter, accurate clauses, and check subject–verb agreement, articles, and punctuation before adding further clauses.
