Student answer (Band 5.5)

Certain individuals advocate that now there are more options available for us. I strongy agree with the notion as we can shop online instead of going to the shops, all kinds of products are accssible in departmental stores under one roof, robots are using in various sectors as a replacement of human.

To begin, in recents days, everything has bocome more convenient and effortless for us. We can purchase any thing from online websites sitting at home according to our preferences rather than going to the market physically. There are number of options available on them. For instance, one can buy luxurious to cheaper goods from national to international brands. If we are sick or feeling not pleasant , we can order food from any of our favourite restaurants and which can be delivered within very short period of time. Apart from this, all types of products on various categories are present in the supershops such as fruits, groceries, dresses, make-up. As a result, we can choose according to our requirements. Moreover, many online pages now have started selling oraganic food such as pure honey, master oil, butter, fresh fruits and vegetables. Therefore, we have the option to consume healthy food to stay a healthy and sustainable life

Furthermore, robots are being used to perform household activities such as for washing clothes, cleaing rooms even for cooking. In industries, AI has taken the reposibilites of human labours. In restaurants, robots are working as a waiter to serve food and take orders from the customers.

On the flip side, we have become conjusted and lazy now. There are less social ineraction, we are less willing to do our wrok by ourselves.

To sum up, I frimly agree with the notion that now people have a number of choices which is cleared by the aforementioned points of view.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear from the opening (“I strongly agree”) and is maintained in the conclusion. You give relevant examples of choice in online shopping, supermarkets, food delivery and the use of robots, so the response addresses the topic and supports its main view. However, the discussion focuses mainly on the availability of options and convenience; it does not fully examine whether there are “too many” choices or explain when choice becomes excessive. The point that people have become “lazy” and have less social interaction introduces a possible drawback, but it is brief and not clearly connected to the central question. Develop this contrast with a specific explanation or example, and extend the main ideas rather than listing several examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has an overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph about shopping and food, a paragraph about robots, a brief opposing point, and a conclusion. Linking phrases such as “To begin,” “Furthermore,” and “To sum up” help signal the stages of the argument. However, the progression is sometimes mechanical, and the first body paragraph combines several examples without clearly grouping or prioritising them. The shift to robots is abrupt because its connection to the question of having too many choices is not explained. The phrase “On the flip side” signals contrast, but the point that people are less social and active is not developed. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example explicitly to your argument; this would make the relationships between ideas easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “preferences,” “international brands,” “organic food,” “household activities,” and “industries.” These choices help communicate examples across shopping, food and technology. However, noticeable spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision, as in “accssible,” “oraganic,” “conjusted,” and “reposibilites.” Some phrases are also unnatural or unclear, such as “stay a healthy and sustainable life,” “master oil,” and “robots are working as a waiter.” Repetition of general terms such as “options,” “products,” and “available” also limits flexibility. Check spelling carefully and learn common collocations; choosing more precise expressions will make your examples clearer and more natural.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including conditional phrasing (“If we are sick…”) and clauses explaining purpose or result. The main meaning is generally understandable, but some errors in verb forms, sentence construction, agreement and punctuation remain. For example, “robots are using in various sectors” needs a passive form, while “There are number of options” is missing an article. The sentence beginning “If we are sick” becomes awkward when it continues with “and which can be delivered,” and the final sentence of the first body paragraph lacks a clear full stop. Aim to make each sentence complete and check articles, passive constructions and clause connections. More accurate control of these patterns would strengthen the response.
