Student answer (Band 6.5)
In today's technological world, people have multiple options than even before in almost each and every area of life, including education, work place, shopping, entertainment. Although some people argue that this abundance of choices get more amount of stressful environment, I believe that advantages of having plenty of options far outweigh its disadvantages.
One significant benefit of having a wide rage of choices is that it allows people to make decision that best meet their individuals needs. Thanks to the internet and global markets, consumers can easily compare prices, read reviews, and evaluate different products before making a purchase. As a consequence, they are more likely to choose products and services that offer the best value, rather than settling for the only option available. To cite an example, one of the famous applications for shopping is Amazon and it compares thousands of branded products and recommended the best product for people. Moreover, second key benefit of having multiple options that allows students can easily learn from the online platforms, due to improving digitalization in the education pupils have vast options to learn each and everything with a single click. For instance, a recent survey of Times of India, almost 50% of 12th standard students are learn via online medium such as, Chat GPT, and Gemini.
Another advantage is that greater choice encourages businesses to compete more effectively. When companies know that customers have many alternatives, they are motivated to improve quality, reduce prices, and introduce new products. The smartphone industry is a clear example of this, as manufactures continuously developed better cameras, faster processors, and more advanced features to attract consumers. Without competition, technological progress would be much slower.
Nevertheless, having too many options can sometimes make decisions more difficult. However, this problem can usually be managed by identifying cleat priorities and narrowing down the available alternatives. Therefore, the benefits of multiple choice greatly outweigh this temporary inconvenience.
To conclude, I strongly disagree that people nowadays have too many choices. Instead of, I believe that having wide variety of options improves people's lives by increasing personal freedom, encouraging competition, and promoting continuous innovation.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear throughout: you disagree that people have too many choices and argue that choice supports personal needs, competition and innovation. The response addresses both the benefits and the possible drawback of decision difficulty, and the Amazon and smartphone examples help make the argument relevant. The discussion of online learning also adds a distinct supporting point. However, some ideas are more fully developed than others: the student survey is mentioned but not explained, and the claim that choice improves personal freedom could be linked more directly to your examples. To strengthen the response further, explain how each example demonstrates your central position and develop the counterargument before showing why its effects are limited.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay has a coherent overall structure, moving from an introduction to two benefit-focused paragraphs, a concession, and a conclusion. Paragraphing makes the main stages easy to follow, and signposts such as “Moreover,” “Nevertheless,” and “To conclude” help show relationships between ideas. The progression within the first body paragraph is less smooth: shopping and online learning are joined in one paragraph, while the transition between them is abrupt. Some linking phrases also feel mechanical, and “Instead of” in the conclusion does not connect the contrast accurately. Group related points more clearly and use referencing or transitions that explain the relationship between claims, rather than relying mainly on formulaic signposting.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range for the topic, including relevant terms such as “global markets,” “alternatives,” “competition,” and “technological progress.” These choices help communicate the argument, and the meaning remains clear despite some inaccurate or awkward expressions. There are several word-choice, collocation and spelling issues, including “wide rage,” “get more amount of stressful environment,” “manufactures,” and “cleat priorities.” Phrases such as “each and every area” and “best product for people” are also imprecise or unnatural in context. Aim for more accurate collocations and check spelling carefully; for example, describe choice as creating “stress” or “decision-making pressure,” and refer to manufacturers improving products.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including a concession in the opening and conditional reasoning in “When companies know that customers have many alternatives, they are motivated to improve quality.” Most ideas remain understandable, but some grammatical errors recur. For example, “this abundance of choices get” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “multiple options that allows students can easily learn” combines incompatible structures. There are also issues with articles, plurals and verb forms, as in “make decision,” “their individuals needs,” and “students are learn.” Review agreement and sentence patterns, and proofread each clause for a complete, correctly formed verb structure. More consistent accuracy would make your varied sentences easier to read.
