Student answer (Band 6.0)

Many individuals opine that there are more choices available in this contemporary world. I strongly agree with this belief as the world is evolving rapidly and there are excess amount of choices of people.

To begin with, many people think that there are too many choices because the world is evolving and number of discoveries has made enough opportunities for individual. The new discoveries allow people to have different choices in every aspects like job, technology and other materialistic things. Because of that people think there are many scopes available in modern time. For instance, the rapidly growing field of Artificial Intelligence has many other sub domains like Agentic AI, Generative AI, Machine Learning and many more which has offered many opportunities and choices to youths.

In addition, the choices are not limited to technology as there are increasing number of trends in the market. There are many fashion related trends like baggy clothes, skinny fits, colorful and other as well as furniture at home. The rapidly growing discovery in market has given people and opportunity to have multiple choices. For example, a report shows that more than thousands of new things are developing in the market and it creates choices for the people.

However, some critics may think there are not much choices such as people living in rural area because there are no modern amenities. Hence, they might believe there are no enough choices in this growing world

To conclude, Although, some might think there are no much opportunities due to undeveloped region where they live, there are thousands of discoveries happening in this modern world in every aspects of life which creates choices. Therefore, I believe that there are more choices nowadays.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear from the introduction (“I strongly agree”) and remains consistent in the conclusion. You give relevant reasons, including the growth of technology and the variety of fashion and household products, and the AI example helps illustrate how new fields can create options. This addresses the task, but the two main points are not developed equally: the market-trends paragraph relies on a vague claim about “thousands of new things” rather than explaining how greater choice affects people. The rural-area counterpoint is relevant, but it is brief and its relationship to your overall agreement could be explained more fully. To strengthen the response, develop each reason with a specific, credible example and clarify why the counterargument does not change your position.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two supporting paragraphs, a counterpoint, and a conclusion. Paragraphs generally focus on one main idea, and signposts such as “To begin with,” “In addition,” and “However” help readers follow the progression. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, “Because of that” does not specify exactly how discoveries lead to people perceiving too many choices, while “Hence” introduces the rural point without fully linking it to the preceding discussion. The counterargument also ends abruptly, and the conclusion repeats the introduction’s general claim rather than drawing the reasoning together. Use clearer references between claims and examples, and make the counterpoint’s role in your argument explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

You use an adequate range of topic-related vocabulary, including “contemporary,” “opportunities,” “sub domains,” “materialistic,” and “modern amenities.” These choices allow you to discuss technology, consumer trends, and access to services, and the meaning is generally clear. There are, however, some inaccurate or unnatural word choices and collocations, such as “excess amount of choices,” “many scopes,” and “rapidly growing discovery in market.” “Discoveries” is also repeated where more precise terms such as developments, products, or innovations would fit better. Aim for natural combinations and more exact wording, especially when describing consumer choice. For instance, distinguish between technological advances that create career options and new products that expand what shoppers can choose from.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “because,” “as,” and “although,” and most of your meaning remains understandable. Some grammatical errors persist, particularly with articles, agreement, plurals, and sentence boundaries. Examples include “there are excess amount” (which needs a singular article or a plural form), “in every aspects,” and “which has offered” after a plural subject. The final counterargument sentence also lacks a full stop, and the conclusion’s opening “Although” clause is punctuated awkwardly. Review subject–verb agreement and article use, and check that subordinate clauses are attached to complete sentences. More accurate control of these patterns would make your varied sentence structures clearer.
