Student answer (Band 5.5)
IN TODAYS WORLD WE ARE GETTING A WIDE RANGE OF OPPOTUNITIES IN EACH SECTOR AND ALSO IN OTHER THINGS SUCH AS CHOOSING CAREER , FOOD , LIFESTYLE AND LOT MORE . THIS ESSAY WILL DISCUSS TO WHAT EXTENT IT IS APPROVED OR DENIED .
ON THE ONE HAND IT CAN BE SEEN THAT PEOPLE NOW A DAYS ARE HAVING MANY CHOICES AS COMPARE TO EARLIER TIMESIN TERMS OF CHOOSING THIER CAREER , LIFESTYLE AND MUCH MORE . FOR INSTANCE , ACCORDING TO A SURVEY IN 2022 STUDENTS ARE HAVING A CHOICE WHETHER THEY WANT TO PERSUE A CAREER IN ACADEMIC FEILD OR WHETHER THEY WANT TO MAKE FUTURE IN THEIR SKILL.
ON THE OTHER HAND IT IS SEENTHAT DUE TO MANY OPTIONS PEOPLE ARE OFTEN GETTING CONFUSED TOO. THEY ARE TRYING MANY THINGS AT A TIME TO SEE WHICH IS THE BEST FOR THEM RATHER THAN FOCUSING ON ONE WITH PERFECTION.THISLEADS THEM TO GET LESS SUCCESS AND LOWER THIER SELF ESTEEM .AS THEY DONT GET SUCCESS THEY END UP LEARNING NEW THINGS WHICH RESULTS IN THIER MENTAL BREAKDOWN AS WELL AS CREATES FINANCIAL CHALLENGES.
IN CONCLUSION IT CAN BE SAID THAT HAVING MULTIPLE CHOICES MAY HELP BUT SOMETIMES IT MAY RESULT IN CONFUSION WHICH MAY NOT BE BENEFICAL.PEOPLE SHOULD GET CLEAR EXPOSURE OF WHAT THEY WANT THEN SHORT LIST FROM IT WHICH WILL BE SIGNIFICANTLY MUCH MORE HELPFUL .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address the topic by discussing both the benefits of having many choices and the confusion they can create, and your conclusion gives a practical recommendation to shortlist options. However, the position is not fully clear: the introduction says the essay will discuss whether the view is “approved or denied,” rather than stating how far you agree. The career example is relevant, but the reference to a 2022 survey is not explained or connected clearly to your argument. The effects on confidence, mental health, and finances are listed but not developed with specific reasoning or examples. The response is also 21 words below the required minimum, limiting the space available to develop your ideas. State your position directly and extend each main point with explanation or a concrete example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall arrangement: an introduction, two contrasting body paragraphs signposted by “On the one hand” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion. This makes the main direction understandable. However, progression within the paragraphs is sometimes abrupt. For example, the second body paragraph moves from trying many things to lower self-esteem, then to mental breakdown and financial challenges without explaining the links. Some transitions and references are also mechanical or unclear, such as “this leads them” and “as they don’t get success.” Improve cohesion by connecting each consequence explicitly to the previous idea and by using clear references. A more focused topic sentence and a developed example in each body paragraph would make the argument flow more smoothly.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “career,” “lifestyle,” “self esteem,” and “financial challenges,” and you attempt phrases such as “short list” and “clear exposure.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which can make the meaning less clear. Examples include “make future in their skill,” “get less success,” and “clear exposure of what they want”; these do not express the intended ideas naturally. Spelling errors such as “oppotunities,” “persue,” and “benefical,” along with inconsistent spacing, are also noticeable. Build a more precise vocabulary for discussing choice and decision-making, and check spelling and collocations carefully. Prefer familiar, accurate expressions over ambitious phrases that are unclear.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a contrast between the two body paragraphs and a clause beginning “As they don’t get success.” However, control is uneven, and errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles, and punctuation sometimes make the reader work to understand the message. For example, “people now a days are having many choices as compare to earlier times” has problems with the comparison structure, while “people are often getting confused too” is awkwardly formed. Several sentences run together, as in “perfection.Thisleads them,” and punctuation is often separated from the preceding word. Practise accurate comparative structures and clause boundaries, and proofread for sentence breaks, apostrophes, and consistent capitalisation. Clearer, shorter sentences would help you communicate your ideas reliably.
