Student answer (Band 5.0)

In contemporary discourse, the question of wheather we have varieties of choice has sparked sgnificant debate. I largely believe that we have varieties of choice in our life with convenient way.

Currently we are living in modern age, where we can find our things in everywhere in world without any extra pressure consequently we have many choice in our life. These choice of diversity makes competition among all companies. For just one product, in our world we have different companies. For instance, Bata make shoes at the same way apex make shoes, thus our choice are getting increasing day by day and we have too many choices.

People some time get confused what they pick among all the choice. In past decades people did not have any many choices, they did not go anywhere and could not wear cloaths due to lack of choices. Choices are not stayed in cloath sector it spirit in every sector and smooth our life. In addition, technology emarged in our life signifiantly, it makes choices border and reliable in our life. For example, people can buy their goods from home which make people's life more reliable and useful, furthermore people can choose their career by their self, in past people did not had that options.

Though choices make competition but it emarged in our life in positive way. Without varieties of choice we can lead our life smoothly and i think choices will be more broder in future and become more useful in our life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You take a clear, broadly supportive position, stating that choices have increased and are generally useful. The examples of shoe companies, online shopping and career selection are relevant to the topic, and you acknowledge a drawback when you note that people can become confused. However, the response only partly develops the question of whether there are *too many* choices: it mainly argues that choice is beneficial, without explaining when abundance becomes excessive or weighing its costs against its benefits. The comparison with the past is also asserted rather than supported. To strengthen the response, explain one specific disadvantage, such as decision fatigue, and show why you still agree or disagree overall, using a more detailed example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has an introduction, body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the ideas are generally grouped by topic: increased availability, possible confusion, and technology. Basic linking expressions such as “For instance,” “In addition” and “Though” help show relationships between points. However, progression is not consistently clear. The second paragraph moves from global availability to company competition and then to shoes, while the next combines past lifestyles, clothing, technology and career choice. Some links are mechanical or unclear, and the conclusion introduces an unsupported prediction about future choices. Organise each paragraph around one main claim, then explain and illustrate it before moving on. Clearer references and more precise transitions would make the argument easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “competition,” “diversity,” “technology” and “career,” and the reader can usually understand the intended meaning. There is some effort to vary wording, but the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make parts difficult to interpret. For example, “choices are not stayed in cloath sector it spirit in every sector” does not communicate the intended idea clearly, and “choices border” appears to mean that choices have broadened. Spelling errors such as “wheather,” “sgnificant” and “emarged” are also noticeable. Build a bank of accurate phrases for discussing choice and its effects, and check spelling and word forms carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use both simple statements and some attempts at longer, connected sentences, for example the sentence beginning “For instance, Bata make shoes…” and the sentence about buying goods from home. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors in agreement, articles, plurals and verb forms sometimes make the meaning harder to follow. Examples include “we have many choice,” “These choice… makes,” “people did not had,” and “people can choose their career by their self.” Sentence boundaries and punctuation also need attention: several ideas are joined with commas where a full stop or a clearer conjunction would help. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and past-tense forms, then proofread each sentence for a complete, clearly punctuated structure.
