Student answer (Band 5.5)

In the era of modren technololgy, it is true that we have extensive choices. The growth of youngsters towards that advancement of artificial intelligence pushed us towards the global trade. Due to this we have variety of products and pathways in our front which increases difficult for a timely decision. I partially agree that with the passage of time people have multiple choises.

On one hand, in our daily life to buy some household items including equipments, machinery, tools and furniture or even something to eat we have multi global brands which create us in a truble to choose between one. For example, XIL is a refrigator brand which is a low quality but provides offers to the costumers to compete the market. Hence, other brands which provides quality over temporary benifits will loose their clients due to fake advertisnments.

On the other hand, it is very benificial for people as in the jobs market. They have multiple choises that what to choose between salary, repute or luxury lifestyle. There are chances for promotion and alternatives if anyone feels uncomfortable or feels labour problems due to jobs. Beside this, it has great effects on the global market that companies have choises to whome with work for reliability and satisfaction. For example, a company which import eggs from Pakistan is now empower due to the technological advancement in these days that they can get quote from India or any other country which is benificial for end consumer and create multiple option for companies.

In the conclusion, as with the increase in the relaxation to indiviuals philosophers have been suggested that it creates hurdles in future. So to resolve this issue we should have to work internationally on this.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address the question by taking a partially agreeing position and presenting both disadvantages and benefits of having many choices. The examples about household brands and a company sourcing eggs internationally are relevant, and the jobs paragraph introduces another useful area. However, the position is not fully clear: the opening says “I partially agree,” but the conclusion shifts to a vague claim that choices “create hurdles in future” and proposes working internationally without explaining how this resolves the problem. Several points, such as the effect of advertising on consumers and the benefits of job alternatives, are asserted rather than explained. Develop the reasoning behind each example and make the conclusion directly restate your view.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two contrasting body paragraphs signposted by “On one hand” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion. This helps readers identify the main sections. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven: the first body paragraph moves from household purchases to brand quality and advertising without clearly connecting each point to the central argument. Some links are also unclear, particularly “Beside this” before the discussion of companies choosing suppliers, and the conclusion does not follow logically from the examples. Use topic sentences that state each paragraph’s main point, then connect explanations and examples explicitly. Clearer referencing and fewer abrupt transitions would make the argument easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary suited to the topic, including “global trade,” “technological advancement,” “alternatives,” and “reliability and satisfaction.” However, the range is limited by repeated use of “choises/choices” and “benificial,” while several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unclear, such as “growth of youngsters towards that advancement,” “in our front,” and “create us in a trouble.” Spelling errors—including “modren,” “refrigator,” and “advertisnments”—are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause. Aim for precise, natural phrases and check spelling carefully. For example, describe products as “available to consumers” and say that a wide range “makes it harder to decide,” rather than translating expressions directly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use both simple statements and attempts at longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “which” and “if.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to interpret. For instance, “which increases difficult for a timely decision” has an incorrect structure, while “other brands which provides quality” has a subject–verb agreement problem. The sentence beginning “They have multiple choises that what to choose” also lacks a clear grammatical pattern. Articles, plurals, and prepositions need attention, as in “in a truble” and “in the jobs market.” Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a clearly connected supporting clause before adding more complexity.
