Student answer (Band 6.0)
In recent years, whether we have too many options or not has become a widely debated issue. While some people argue that choices are limited nowadays, I strongly believe that we have too many options. This essay will discuss the reasons for my viewpoint.
The primary reason for my opinion is awareness and education. In present generation, parents are educated enough to allow their children to persue the career according to their potential. This is mainly because parents are aware enough that children should allow to explore their talent rather than stick to convential professions of medical or engineering. I think this is the biggest change. For instance, in past students had not no choice to make regarding their profession, but today they would have alot of choices to explore.
Another compelling reason is due to social media and advanced technology. This is attributed to the fact that nowadays people have more options to explore for anything such as shopping or food. They can simply browse different brands and compare their quality and price and can make a reasonable decision. The advanced technology gives the people opportunity to find anything according to their choice and demand. For example, a recruiter can find a skilled worker from anywhere in the world. Similarly a skilled worker can find job oppportunity according to his experience anywhere in the world. By contrast, in past people had limited ways of communication or to reach the desired employment opportunity.
In conclusion, although some people disagree with that, I firmly believe that nowadays we have too many choice to explore including career, educations, jobs, and basic necessities of life due to rising awareness among people and advanced technology in world.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction—“I strongly believe” that people have too many options—and remains consistent in the conclusion. You give relevant reasons, including broader career choices linked to education and the wider range of products and employment made possible by technology. The examples about comparing brands and recruiters finding workers help illustrate your argument. This meets the task well, but the development is uneven: the career paragraph makes a broad claim about past students having no choice, while the technology paragraph lists several areas without fully explaining when choice becomes excessive or why it is a problem. To strengthen the response, address the idea of “too many” more directly, perhaps by explaining how an abundance of options can make decisions difficult, and develop each example with more precise support.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion that restates your view. The progression from career opportunities to technology-related choices is easy to follow, and signposts such as “The primary reason,” “Another compelling reason,” and “In conclusion” make the organisation clear. This is a coherent arrangement, though some linking is mechanical and a few connections are not fully smooth. For example, “By contrast” introduces the past-versus-present comparison, but the preceding sentences already establish that contrast. The conclusion also repeats the main position rather than drawing the two arguments together. Use referencing and transitions more selectively, and make the relationship between each example and the claim about having too many choices explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of vocabulary for the topic, including “potential,” “explore their talent,” “compare their quality and price,” and “employment opportunity.” These choices allow you to discuss education, shopping, and work, and your meaning is generally clear. There are also attempts at more specific phrasing, such as “advanced technology” and “skilled worker.” However, some word choices and collocations are inaccurate or repetitive: “too many choice,” “find job opportunity,” and “options to explore for anything” are not natural forms. Spelling errors such as “persue,” “convential,” and “oppportunity” also reduce accuracy. Aim for more precise collocations and check spelling and plural forms; for instance, use “a wide range of options” and “find employment.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use both simple and complex sentence forms, including a subordinate clause in “This is mainly because parents are aware enough that…” and a comparison between present and past opportunities. Most sentences communicate the intended meaning, and the overall argument remains understandable. Some grammatical errors persist, however, particularly with articles, agreement, verb forms, and sentence construction. Examples include “children should allow to explore” (the passive form needs “be allowed”), “people had not no choice,” and “we have too many choice.” The opening phrase “In present generation” also needs an article or a different construction. Review subject–verb agreement, countable plurals, and verb patterns, then proofread each sentence for a complete and accurate structure. More consistently accurate complex sentences would improve control.
