Student answer (Band 5.5)
Yes i agree with this statement. It is true that we have too many choices nowadays. There are too many factories for making different products and they make almost uncountable products everyday that is confusing sometimes. We use social media and scroll everyday so we see new trends, fashion and new options like clothing, new furniture, latest smartphones, different shows and other things. So, it is natural to like more then one thing at the same time. We have more options so we get more facilities as well.
We have phones if we do not want to use mobile we can watch T.V if we do not like one channel there are hundreds of other channels to watch. In old times, there were limited options and it was very boring and sufocating to only see few things or have few choices in everything. However, in modern times we have more options and interesting hobbies as well. Today, we can be busy in different hobbies.
There are too many indoor and outdoor games. If someone wants to stay home he can play indoor games or use mobile and if someone wants to go outside he can enjoy in different restaurants or play various interesting outdoor games. Therefore, in my opinion having more choices is like a blessing that we have today.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You give a clear overall view that having many choices is beneficial, especially in the final sentence, and your examples about television channels, hobbies and games are relevant to the topic. However, the response does not fully develop the question of whether there are too many choices: most examples show that variety is useful, rather than explaining when choice becomes excessive or why you agree with the statement. The opening says you agree, but the later claim that more options are “like a blessing” makes your precise position less consistent. The response is also below the required 250 words. Develop a consistent degree of agreement and explain each main reason with a specific example or consequence.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a basic overall sequence: it introduces the topic, gives examples of modern options, contrasts these with the past, and ends with a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “However” and “Therefore” help signal relationships between ideas. However, the progression is not always clear because several examples are listed in succession without being grouped around distinct reasons. The paragraphing is limited, and the shift from agreeing that there are too many choices to calling them a blessing is not clearly explained. Some connections, such as the move from television to hobbies and then restaurants, feel abrupt. Organise the essay into clear paragraphs, each with one central point, and use references and transitions to show how each example supports your position.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough everyday vocabulary to communicate the topic, including “options,” “trends,” “hobbies,” and “indoor and outdoor games.” There is some variety in the examples, so the response is not limited to a single repeated term. However, much of the wording is general, and phrases such as “different things,” “more facilities,” and “interesting hobbies” do not express precise ideas. Some word choices and collocations are awkward, including “factories for making different products” and “be busy in different hobbies”; spelling errors such as “sufocating” and “everyday” also reduce accuracy. Build a more precise range for discussing choice and its effects, and check spelling and natural word combinations when editing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You communicate your main ideas using mostly simple sentences, and you attempt some longer structures, for example, “if we do not like one channel there are hundreds of other channels to watch.” This shows an effort to connect clauses, but the range remains limited and punctuation is often missing where sentences or clauses meet. There are also errors in capitalisation and sentence boundaries, as in “Yes i agree with this statement. It is true that we have too many choices nowadays. There…” The conditional example would be clearer with a comma after the introductory clause, and “more then one thing” should use the comparative form “more than one thing.” Use a wider mix of accurately controlled complex sentences and proofread for capitals, commas and full stops.
