Student answer (Band 5.5)
In the contemporary world, a large proportion of people suppose that we have plenty of choices in every aspect of life.We can buy things without any hardship. I strongly agree with this view because this is a positive development, in this following essay i will give examples from my own knowledge.
Firstly, people live in the modern era. In this time they can easily purchase items without any difficulty. They have many choices in clothes, bags, shoes, and in other imperative items. When they buy things from online sourses like from different apps or websites. They utilise many platforms for purchasing goods. For example, when someone purchases products from online plateform, they have many options from different brands. They can choose a thing with his own satisfaction. As a result, people buy things which are suits their taste and pesonalities.
Secondly, Having too many choices can make it difficult for people what can they chose for them. They get confused and stuck, when they select something for them. For instance, when a student chose a university or degree programme he get stuck. Because he has a range of selection. Consequently, they may waste a consideable amount of time compering with some things.
In conclusion, I would argue that having a different option is very useful for every individual. We can select things which are better for us. Moreover, a huge selection help us to choose better product for us. Company give a good price range when thier are many selection in market.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear in the introduction: you strongly agree that people have many choices, and you give relevant examples involving online shopping and choosing a university or degree. However, the response only partly addresses the question because it does not consistently explain whether having too many choices is beneficial or problematic. The second body paragraph describes confusion and wasted time, but the conclusion returns to the benefits without resolving this tension. The claim that companies offer better prices is also introduced only at the end and is not supported. To strengthen the response, state clearly whether you agree that there are too many choices, then develop each example with an explanation of its effect on people’s lives.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The sequence from shopping choices to educational choices is understandable, and signposts such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “In conclusion” help identify the stages of the response. However, progression between ideas is sometimes unclear: the first paragraph focuses on the benefits of choice, while the second presents its drawbacks, without explaining how these points support your stated position. Some links are mechanical or incomplete, as in “Because he has a range of selection,” which is separated from the preceding sentence. Improve cohesion by connecting each example explicitly to your argument and using complete, logically linked sentences rather than relying mainly on basic sequencing phrases.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “platforms,” “brands,” “degree programme,” and “selection,” so the reader can follow your main examples. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation and spelling errors make expression less precise. Examples include “online sourses,” “online plateform,” “personalities” where “personal preferences” is intended, and “compering” for “comparing.” Phrases such as “imperative items” and “a huge selection help us to choose better product” are also unnatural or imprecise. Build a more accurate range for discussing choice, such as “variety of options,” “make an informed decision,” and “overwhelmed by the range.” Check spelling and whether each word fits its context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional-style example about choosing a university and clauses introduced by “when” and “because.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to process. For example, “Having too many choices can make it difficult for people what can they chose” has incorrect clause structure; “they can choose a thing with his own satisfaction” has unclear pronoun reference and agreement; and “a huge selection help us” has a subject–verb agreement error. There are also sentence-boundary and punctuation problems, such as the run-on after “life.” Practise forming complete clauses, checking subject–verb agreement, and using consistent pronouns before adding more complex structures.
