Student answer (Band 6.0)

Nowdays, people have more options in all things like education, shopping, travelling, and so on. One of the most conspicuous trend in today's world is that some people argue that recently people have too many choices. I strongly agree with this statement because of several reasons. This essay will express my agreement view with the supported examples in the following paragraphs.

There are a plenty of compelling factors that support my stance. First and foremost, learners have more options for better education. For instace, nowadays many pupils prefer to study by online platforms because its allowed to svae time and cost of transportation. Another important things is that through the internet people easily communicate with each other and share their ideas, thought, and many more. Also shopholic people have more choices in online website and they buy whatever they like in reasonable price such as amazon, myntra, mesho, and others. Last but not least, currently many people like to enjoy their vacation in other country instead of their own nation because of easy transportation facility.

On the other hand it has a few drawbacks. The most affected thing is social media because it distract youngsters from their study, work, and beliefs. Another noteworthy point is that many shopkeepers face finacial problems because of online shopping. For example, in my hometown many citizens go to the D-mark for buying households things rather than local shops and now many shops are close due to the lower selling. Nonetheless, I strongly with the former view beacuse of many undeniable reasons such as good educational facility, transport amenities, shopping, and so on. In conclusion, even though it has a few disadvantages the significant benefits cannot be ignored.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear: you strongly agree that people now have too many choices, and you give relevant examples involving online education, shopping and travel. You also acknowledge disadvantages, particularly distraction from social media and the effect of online shopping on local businesses, so the response addresses the task from more than one angle. However, some points are not fully connected to the claim that there are too many choices. For instance, easier communication and travel are presented as benefits of having options, but you do not explain how an abundance of choices affects people. The local-shop example is more specific, yet its link to choice overload could also be developed. Explain the consequences of having many options and support each main reason with a clearer explanation or example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, a main paragraph presenting reasons, a paragraph acknowledging drawbacks, and a conclusion that restates your position. Signposting such as “First and foremost,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” helps readers follow the broad direction. However, the first body paragraph groups several different topics—education, communication, shopping and travel—without developing clear links between them. Some transitions are mechanical, and “Nonetheless” introduces a return to your position without clearly connecting the preceding example to the argument. Organise the body around fewer, distinct points and use topic sentences to show how each paragraph supports your view. Clearer referencing and transitions would make the progression more natural.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a reasonable range of topic-related vocabulary, including “online platforms,” “transportation facility,” “financial problems,” and “undeniable reasons.” These choices help communicate ideas across education, shopping and travel. There are also noticeable spelling, word-form and collocation problems, such as “Nowdays,” “instace,” “svae,” “shopholic,” and “reasonable price.” Phrases such as “good educational facility” and “households things” are imprecise or unnatural, while “a plenty of compelling factors” is not a natural expression. These errors do not generally prevent understanding, but they reduce precision and fluency. Check spelling carefully and learn common word partnerships; choose vocabulary that expresses the specific idea rather than relying on broad phrases such as “and so on.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a reason clause in “because it distract youngsters” and a contrast clause in “even though it has a few disadvantages.” The overall meaning is usually understandable, but some grammatical errors remain. For example, “One of the most conspicuous trend” needs plural agreement, and “many pupils … because its allowed” has problems with the subject and verb pattern. In “I strongly with the former view,” the verb construction is incomplete; “I strongly agree with the former view” would be grammatical. There are also issues with articles, plurals and agreement in phrases such as “another important things” and “many shops are close.” Review these patterns and proofread sentence by sentence while continuing to practise varied structures.
