Student answer (Band 6.0)

A number of people have this opinion that they have various opportunities in every aspect of their life. I completely agree with that prospective of people as one is surrounded with multiple options now a days, either it is sports or any job profession which they want to persue.

Speaking about choices in sports, many countries have started to invest in all kinds of sports such as cricket , football etc. This approach will allow the citizens to indugle in any activities of their desire as the choice plays a vital role in it.For instance , a person who is not good at cricket will have more options now to choose any other game. This diversification in choice proves that human beings have bundle of options as compared to previous eras.

People have unlimited options in deciding their profession. As the time passes, the more opportunities have emerged.Forexample, if a person wants to serve in healthcare and by any means he werent selected for mbbs degree progamme. In this era , it is not a sign of worry at all. There are multiple alternatives to serve in healthcare system. The person can opt for nursing profession , the courses such as x-ray technician etc. These kind of choices will allow him to enter in healthcare system, earn well and serve humans with proper care.

In the end , my prospective of completely agreeing with this approach is solidified because I believe that these circumstnaces of modern era have created more options for an individual. The various choices in sports , in deciding jobs will allow them to fulfill their purpose of life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear from the introduction: “I completely agree,” and the conclusion maintains this view. You address the question with two relevant areas—sports and career options—and the examples of choosing another sport or entering nursing after not gaining an MBBS place help explain your reasoning. This gives the response a relevant, supported foundation. However, the discussion of sports mainly shows that more activities are available, while the career paragraph is more fully explained; neither explores possible drawbacks or clarifies what “too many” choices might mean. To strengthen the response, develop each main point with more specific explanation and connect it directly to why the range of choices is excessive, rather than simply greater than before.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs present separate examples, and a conclusion restates your position. The progression from sports to professions is easy to follow, and phrases such as “For instance” help introduce support. At times, however, connections are mechanical or unclear. “As the time passes, the more opportunities have emerged” does not smoothly establish the next example, and “In the end” is a basic transition into the conclusion. Some ideas within paragraphs would benefit from clearer links—for example, explain how investment in sports leads to an excessive number of choices. Use a wider range of precise transitions and make references such as “this approach” and “these circumstances” clearly point to the relevant idea.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “multiple options,” “alternatives,” “diversification,” and “profession,” and the reader can understand your main examples. There are also attempts at less common wording, such as “solidified” and “vital role.” However, inaccurate word choice, spelling, and collocation are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning less natural: “prospective” is used where “perspective” is intended, “indulge in any activities” is not the right expression here, and “bundle of options” is informal and awkward. Several spelling errors, including “persue,” “werent,” and “circumstnaces,” further limit precision. Build a reliable range of topic vocabulary and check spelling and collocations carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including conditional structures such as “if a person wants to serve in healthcare” and a relative clause in “a person who is not good at cricket.” These attempts help communicate your examples, but control is uneven. For instance, “As the time passes, the more opportunities have emerged” has an inaccurate comparative structure and tense, while “if … he werent selected” needs correct conditional phrasing and punctuation. There are also errors in articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries, as in “These kind of choices” and the run-together “etc. This approach.” Aim for more accurate complex sentences, check verb forms and agreement, and use consistent spacing and punctuation.
