Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0
You state a position—“my opinion agree with this view”—and mention education and jobs as areas where people make choices, so the response is relevant to the question. However, the position is not explained in enough detail, and the examples remain general: the reference to students choosing fields does not show why there are too many choices or what effects this has. The second point about people being responsible for their choices is also unfinished and unsupported. The response is substantially below the required 250 words, leaving the task only minimally addressed. To develop your answer, explain whether the number of options is excessive, give specific examples, and support each reason with consequences or personal experience before concluding clearly.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is a basic attempt to organise ideas: the opening gives your view, and “secondly” signals another point. The response also stays broadly focused on choices in education and life. However, the ideas do not progress into a complete argument, and there are no developed paragraphs or conclusion. The first supporting point runs together with its example, while the second point ends without explaining how personal responsibility supports your position. Some linking is attempted, but “secondly” is not enough to show the relationship between the ideas. Use separate paragraphs for your position, reasons and conclusion, and connect each example explicitly to the claim it supports.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “choices,” “education,” “jobs,” “students,” and “abilities,” which makes the general topic understandable. However, the range is narrow and several expressions are inaccurate or awkward, such as “a plenty of choices,” “others things,” and “yield a better resuls.” Spelling errors in “ehther,” “feilds,” and “depand” also reduce clarity and control. Aim to use precise phrases for discussing options and their effects, and check spelling carefully. For example, you could describe a “wide range of options” and explain whether this creates “greater opportunities” or “decision-making pressure,” rather than repeating “choices” without elaboration.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response attempts both a longer sentence and a simple follow-up point, and the reader can identify the broad meaning. However, sentence structures are limited, and errors in basic grammar frequently make the writing difficult to follow. For instance, “life is not rely in one single option” has an incorrect verb construction and preposition, while “my opinion agree” lacks a correctly formed subject and verb. The sentence beginning “It is often argued” also contains problems with clause structure and agreement, and the final sentence is incomplete in meaning. Practise forming clear subject–verb sentences first, then add subordinate clauses with accurate verb forms, articles and punctuation.
