Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is belived that we have too many options. I largely agree with the statement because we are now living in a modern technology era, where we can differenciate our choices while having all options in our bucket.

I agree that, now-a-days individuals speacially youngsters have so many choices either they have to choose a occupation or they have to buy a thing.

For instance, young adults are like free birds. they have the support of their family members as well as their partners, which allows them to grow and live their life fully. As a result, there is so restrictions that one have to be a doctor or engineer. Hence, they can move to one profession to other the one that makes them comfortable, which was tough for orthodox people because they where sorrounded by their family's perspective. They where even helpless to choose their profession environment as there were only major subjects were valued.

In addition, in this 21st era, people can choose their attire as a female , which used to be decided by males. Furthermore, from eating habits to decorate a room there are so many options and solutions just in one click, that's a huge advantage of technologoy, which are hard to denied. Nevertheless, if we look into social media we have so many items in different shapes and colours, people choose the best which attracts them, as a result buissnessman are trying hard to catch audiences for their financial stability.

It is a great pros as this entreprenurs are also welcoming new commers to join their buissness as an employee.

Some people argue that, having too much options can lead to dilemma, where people will waste their time and as a result they will be unable to stay happy with one specific things.

To summarize, I firmly beleive that having options are significant as it gives us the choice to retain the thing that really touch our heart.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear from the introduction and conclusion: you largely agree that people now have many choices. You address several relevant areas, including career paths, clothing, food, room decoration and online shopping, and you briefly acknowledge the opposing view that too many options can cause indecision. However, some points are more fully addressed than others. The career example is explained through changing family expectations, while the discussion of social media and businesses shifts toward employment and financial stability without clearly showing how this supports your argument about choice. Develop fewer examples in more depth and explain their effects on people. A clearer response to the drawback of excessive choice would also make your argument more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has an overall structure, with an introduction, supporting paragraphs, a counterpoint and a conclusion. Ideas are generally grouped by topic, and linking expressions such as “For instance,” “In addition” and “To summarize” help signal movement between points. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow: the discussion moves from social media products to business competition and then to employment without making the connections explicit. Some transitions, including “As a result” and “Hence,” are used where the relationship between ideas is not fully clear. Improve cohesion by organising each paragraph around one main point, using clear references to connect examples to that point, and avoiding abrupt shifts.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You attempt a range of vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “profession,” “orthodox,” “perspective,” “dilemma” and “financial stability.” This gives you some ability to discuss different kinds of choice. However, spelling errors and inaccurate word forms are noticeable, for example “belived,” “differenciate,” “speacially” and “entreprenurs.” Some expressions are also imprecise or unnatural, such as “all options in our bucket,” “free birds” and “retain the thing that really touch our heart.” These choices sometimes make the intended meaning less clear. Build accuracy by checking spelling and choosing conventional collocations, especially when expressing abstract ideas, rather than relying on idioms whose meaning may not fit the point.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use both simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “because,” “which” and “as a result,” and the overall meaning is usually understandable. However, attempts at longer structures are often faulty, and errors can make some sentences difficult to interpret. For example, “there is so restrictions that one have to be a doctor or engineer” has problems with agreement and sentence construction, while “people will waste their time and as a result they will be unable to stay happy with one specific things” contains number and agreement errors. There are also recurring issues with articles, plurals and punctuation. Practise building accurate sentences first, then add subordinate clauses; check subject–verb agreement and singular/plural forms during revision.
