Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You state a clear overall view—“i totally agree”—and give relevant examples involving travel, phones, television, education and work from home. These show an understanding that modern technology has expanded people’s options. However, the response only partly develops the question of whether there are *too many* choices: it mainly lists available activities and does not explain when abundance becomes excessive or creates difficulty. The comparison with your grandparents could support this point, but “i have consumed more than them” is unclear and the comparison is not extended. To strengthen the response, explain the effects of having so many options, such as decision fatigue or distraction, and develop one or two examples to support your position.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an opening, supporting paragraphs and a conclusion. “Moreover” signals an additional point, and the examples generally relate to the topic. However, the overall progression is limited: the first paragraph introduces several ideas without establishing a focused line of argument, and the body paragraphs largely repeat that people have more choices. Connections between ideas are sometimes unclear, particularly in the sentence about work from home and in the comparison with your grandparents. The conclusion restates the general idea rather than drawing together a developed argument. Use each paragraph for a distinct reason, link examples explicitly to your claim, and make references such as “them” unambiguous.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “technology,” “transportation,” “education” and “facilities,” which helps communicate the general subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make meaning unclear, such as “do many choices,” “extra thinking,” “consumed more than them” and “added the glow of life.” Repetition of “choices,” “technology” and “things” also limits precision. Spelling and word-form errors, including “mordern,” “travell,” “educaation” and “convinent,” are noticeable. Aim to use more precise expressions for the effects of choice and technology, and check spelling and natural word combinations when revising.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, and the response is generally understandable. However, errors occur frequently in sentence structure, verb forms, agreement, articles and plurals, sometimes making relationships between ideas difficult to follow. For example, “individuals have advance methods to do many choices” has an unclear grammatical pattern, while “Elders as well as childrens are now have” combines incompatible verb forms and has agreement problems. “Technology have made” also needs subject–verb agreement, and several sentences begin with lowercase “we” or “i.” Practise building accurate basic clauses first, then add subordinate clauses using clear links such as “because” or “although.” Proofread specifically for verb forms, agreement, sentence boundaries and capitalisation.
