Student answer (Band 5.5)
I firmly think that in this modern life we have too many options for every thing whether it is education, job, furniture and many more things. In every aspect of life we have choices. Having too many options are good for some situations but this thing make us too much discombobulate.
Nowadays due to rapid technology everything has many models, design, fileds. Like lets consider our education we have to many options now. In past we only have main two options which were considered the most reliable and respectful professions, they were doctor and engineer. But now we have numerous choices in every field like in computer science there are too many options like cypersecurity, data science, ai, it etc. We dont need to study full computerscience we just have to chosse one. Likewise we have many options in jobs also.
In this reign or century situation is completely opposite to past century in past people have limited choices in food, in education, in jobs and also in marriges. In past they were not allowed to chosse their life patner even there parents chosse them for each other and they married just because of the happiness of their family.
Nowadays we are so flexible like our choices are to flexible but this thing also make us confuse and we face too much difficulty to take a decesion like and also after taking a decision we always think that we should chosse anything else like we dont rely and statisfy on our own decisions. this thing not make us concentrated so we havve to pick a choice wisely.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You take a clear position, stating that modern life offers “too many options,” and you address both the benefits and difficulties of choice. The examples about education, careers, and arranged marriages are relevant and show how options have changed over time. You also explain a consequence: people may become confused and doubt their decisions. However, some points are asserted rather than fully explained. For instance, the contrast between past and present education would be stronger if you clarified why having more specialisations creates difficulty, and the discussion of marriage is not clearly connected to your main argument about choice. Develop each example with a specific explanation or illustration to make your reasoning more convincing.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable progression: it introduces your view, gives examples from education and work, contrasts the past with the present, and ends with a recommendation to choose carefully. Paragraphing helps separate these stages. However, links between ideas are sometimes abrupt, and the final paragraph combines several points without a clear sequence. Phrases such as “Likewise” and “In past” signal connections, but some transitions are repetitive or do not explain the relationship between the examples. The sentence beginning “Nowadays we are so flexible” also moves quickly from flexibility to confusion and dissatisfaction. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example explicitly to your central claim; a more focused conclusion would improve the overall progression.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “numerous choices,” “reliable,” “professions,” and “decision,” and you attempt more specific terms such as “data science” and “cybersecurity.” This gives you enough language to communicate your main ideas, but inaccurate spelling and word choice are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause. Examples include “discombobulate,” which is not a natural fit here, “reign” for “era,” and “flexible” where you appear to mean that choices are plentiful. Several words are repeatedly misspelled, including “choose,” “marriages,” and “satisfied.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. Replacing informal or imprecise expressions with topic-appropriate wording would make the argument clearer and more controlled.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a contrast between past and present and clauses introduced by “whether” and “because.” The main message is generally understandable, but errors in agreement, sentence construction, articles, and punctuation occur across the response. For example, “Having too many options are good” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “this thing make us” also needs agreement. The long final paragraph contains several ideas joined without clear sentence boundaries, making the relationships harder to follow. There are also awkward constructions such as “we have to many options now” and “they married just because of the happiness of their family.” Practise building accurate complex sentences, and use full stops to separate complete ideas.
