Student answer (Band 6.0)
In recent years, the topic of a lot of options in modern world has become a major subject of discussion. While many people believe that this trend brings clear benefits, others worry about its negative consequences on indiiduals and community. However, I firmly believe that the advantages of the abundance of choices in all field outweight its disadvantages. This essay will discuss both perspectives before reaching a reasoned conclusion.
On the one hand, I would argue that this trend plays a vital role in the development of society. The major reason for this is that, nowadays students have a plenty of option for their higher education. For instance, students have multiple options for their career and they can choose their profession according to their interest. Therefore, it proves significant for acadamic as well as professional life because when people have freedom to choose their own path, they wok hard to prove their decision right. Futhermore, too many options decline the ratio of failue. For example, when people cannot be successful in one job or field, they can change their profession and move forward, instead of wasting their whole life there,
On the other hand, there are few reasons why people consider this trend negative. The primary issue is that sometimes having multiple options create a psychological pressure and confusion. A good example for this is that, multiple options in online shopping even for a same casual dress can confuse individuals and create pressure on their mind to choose which one is better.
In conclusion, analyzing bot viewpoints show that both perspectives have strong arguments. Although availability of plenty of options creat negative pressure on individuals, personal freedom of choosing their own path have clear value and benefits on society. so, it advantages outweight disadvantages

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you agree that the benefits of having many choices outweigh the disadvantages, and you address both sides of the question. The education and career examples are relevant, particularly the point that people can change fields if one path does not work out. However, some ideas are asserted rather than fully explained: for example, the claim that more options “decline the ratio of failure” needs clarification and support. The opposing view is also less developed, relying mainly on the online-shopping example without explaining the wider effects of choice-related pressure. To strengthen the response, explain the consequences of each example and make the comparison between benefits and drawbacks more explicit.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two perspectives, and a conclusion. Signposting such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” helps readers follow the argument, and the ideas generally progress in a logical order. This meets the expected level of coherent organisation. Some connections are less smooth, however: “Futhermore, too many options decline the ratio of failue” introduces a new claim without a clear link to the preceding point, and the first body paragraph ends with a comma rather than a completed sentence. The conclusion repeats the two sides but does not fully resolve their comparison. Use clearer links between claims and examples, and ensure each paragraph ends with a complete, purposeful sentence.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “abundance of choices,” “psychological pressure,” “profession,” and “freedom to choose.” These expressions help communicate the main argument, and the meaning is generally understandable. However, noticeable spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision, including “indiiduals,” “outweight,” “acadamic,” and “failue.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “a plenty of option,” “decline the ratio of failure,” and “pressure on their mind.” Aim for accurate collocations and forms rather than using ambitious phrases that do not fit naturally. For instance, you could describe choices as “reduce the risk of failure” and say that people experience “pressure when making decisions.” Proofreading would also help correct repeated spelling slips.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including a concession in “Although availability of plenty of options creat negative pressure…” and a conditional structure in “when people have freedom to choose their own path.” The overall meaning remains clear, but some grammatical errors occur across the response. Examples include “a plenty of option,” “multiple options … create” (where the subject is singular in the sentence), and “personal freedom … have clear value,” which needs subject–verb agreement. Articles and sentence boundaries also need attention: “the topic of a lot of options in modern world” is missing an article, and the first body paragraph ends with a comma splice-like break. Review agreement, articles, and punctuation, then check that each sentence is complete and that its clauses are joined correctly.
