Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
Your position is clear: you agree that people have too many choices, and you give relevant examples involving mobile phones and education. However, the response only partially develops the task. The reasons—technology and market demand—are introduced, but the explanation of how they create an excessive number of choices is brief, and the education example is unclear about how market demand affects students’ options. The final sentence, “Getting multiple choices also good think and,” is unfinished, leaving the conclusion incomplete. The response also falls short of the required 250 words, so there is limited space to explain and support your ideas. Develop each reason with a clearer explanation and a specific example, then complete the conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. Paragraphs generally focus on one main point, and linking phrases such as “In addition” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the essay. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow: “This will be running on the people demands and the trend they make in the market” does not clearly connect the market’s popularity to the choices available. Repetition of “multiple choices” also makes the argument feel circular, and the unfinished final sentence disrupts the ending. Use clearer topic sentences, explain each point in a logical sequence, and use pronouns or varied linking expressions to avoid repeating the same phrase.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the general subject, including “technology,” “products,” “brand,” “education” and “market demand.” Some wording also shows an attempt to express cause and effect, such as “because of the growing technology and development.” However, the range is limited and several phrases are imprecise or unnatural, which sometimes makes the meaning hard to interpret. For example, “counting the days into the future” does not clearly express the idea of having many choices, and “the types of phone” is awkwardly phrased. There are also spelling errors such as “beacuse” and “lke.” Build a more precise set of phrases for discussing choice, availability and consumer demand, and check spelling carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple sentences and longer structures, including a reason clause beginning “because of” and an example introduced with “For example.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to understand. Examples include “I think it is totally true and i agree with the statement that the choices we are getting now,” which lacks a complete grammatical structure, and “the people really have multiple choice now a days,” where agreement and sentence construction are faulty. The final phrase, “Getting multiple choices also good think and,” is incomplete. Practise writing complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, check singular/plural agreement and articles, and use punctuation to separate ideas.
