Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

Your position is clear in the introduction: you “strongly agree” that people have many choices, and you give relevant examples involving education, clothing, jobs and food. However, the task is only partially addressed because these examples are mostly listed rather than explained, and the essay does not fully explore why the range of choices is excessive or what effects it has. The point that too many options can cause confusion is relevant, but it is briefly mentioned and not developed. The conclusion is also cut off (“according t”), so it does not complete your answer. The response is two words below the required minimum. Develop fewer points with specific explanations or examples, and finish with a complete conclusion.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the paragraphs generally group related examples. Linking expressions such as “To commence with,” “Apart from this,” and “Furthermore” help signal additions. However, progression is sometimes mechanical, as many sentences simply add another example without showing how it supports the main argument. The second body paragraph shifts from confusion to employment discrimination and then food, making its central focus less clear. Some connections are also difficult to follow, particularly the link between having more job choices and the claim about caste discrimination. Organise each paragraph around one main reason, explain that reason, and use clearer references between ideas.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “higher studies,” “decision-making process,” “discrimination,” and “traditional food,” so the reader can understand the main subject and examples. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “In this contemporary world.” However, vocabulary is repetitive in places, especially the repeated use of “options” and “people can,” and several inaccurate word choices or spellings reduce precision: “abailable,” “tradational,” and “built their confidence.” “Take jobs wherever they can think the owner give them more income” is also unclear. Aim for more precise collocations and check spelling; for example, explain that people can “apply for jobs offering higher salaries” rather than using the current phrasing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a concession clause beginning “although having too many options can confuse people” and a relative clause in “the country where they live.” These attempts show some range, and the main ideas are usually understandable. However, errors recur in verb forms, articles, agreement and sentence construction. For example, “they can learn more skills and built their confidence” should keep the verb forms parallel, while “They have opportunity” needs an article. The sentence about job choices and “the owner give them more income” has an unclear grammatical structure, and “as compares to past” is not correctly formed. Review verb agreement and articles, and simplify sentences when a longer structure becomes difficult to control.
