Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You take a position by saying, “I agree with this statement,” and give relevant examples about students’ career choices and Pakistanis considering opportunities abroad. These examples show an attempt to explain how people’s options and preferences can change. However, the response only partially develops the question of whether there are too many choices: it mainly discusses changing preferences and migration, without explaining how the abundance of options itself affects people or why it is excessive. The second paragraph introduces disagreement but does not clearly qualify your overall position or support it with a developed example. State your degree of agreement clearly in the introduction, then explain and support each reason before concluding.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has an introduction, two body sections and a conclusion, and the examples are broadly grouped by topic. However, progression between ideas is difficult to follow because the first body paragraph moves from parental expectations to changing career plans and then to migration without clearly linking these points. The second paragraph begins, “i disagree with little bit arguments,” but its connection to the first paragraph and to your overall position is unclear. Linking phrases such as “for example” and “similarly” are attempted, but some do not show the precise relationship between ideas. Use paragraphs with one main point each, and make the contrast between your agreement and qualification explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “perceptions,” “alternative choices,” “pursue education” and “opportunities,” which helps communicate ideas about decisions and future plans. However, the range is limited and several word choices or combinations are inaccurate or unclear, such as “modernism choices,” “causes of alternative choices,” and “achieve their perspective life.” Repetition of “choices,” “people” and “now a days” also limits precision. Aim to use familiar vocabulary accurately before reaching for more formal expressions. Learning collocations such as “career options,” “make a decision,” and “pursue a degree” would help you express your examples more naturally and make your meaning easier to follow.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a conditional idea about what happens when parents choose a career for their children. However, complex sentences are often difficult to control, and frequent errors in sentence structure, verb forms, agreement and punctuation sometimes make the meaning hard to follow. For example, “if parents thought their children will become a doctor in future sometimes it may causes” combines tenses and clauses inaccurately, while “people's immediately move” has an unclear subject–verb pattern. Some sentences also run together without clear punctuation. Practise building one complete clause at a time, then join clauses with accurate connectors; check subject–verb agreement and keep verb tenses consistent.
