Student answer (Band 6.0)

Nowadays, many individuals argued that todays humans have more opportunities as compare to before, In my perspective, I am highly agreed with this statement. This essay will highlight major facts about it.

On the one hand, In this modern era things has become rapidly upgrading due to technology and science. This is because job opportunities and education is convenient now. Thereby, children have more options for selecting their degrees. By providing more fields in the studies, humans have huge criteria of fields , which will be highly beneficial for their future goals. For instance, In the past, individuals have fewer options for selecting their study fields, but now they have chance to get better demanding field study. A few decades ago options were limited, but now various opportunities of studies are available such as Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence and coding related subjects. So with this latest studies adults have more job opportunities.

On the second hand, Remote working is also available in this decade while old time did not offered this convenience. People may have choice now if they are interested to do jobs from home then it is possible now because technology and internet made it possible. Furthermore, individuals can easily handle their online stores from the rest of the bed such as e-commerce stores and other shopping websites while that is impossible a few years ago. This is also a good choice in business if humans do not want to go outside. These online stores are not only convenient for the owners but also beneficial for the consumers. Furthermore, transportation is also upgrading day by day because government and other private companies introduced new vehicles even driverless cars. For example , In the past, there were only two options for traveling such as trains and buses , but now private cars make the travelling very convenient.

To recapitulate, Although In the past more job opportunities in the government, but this era offers more convenient opportunities such remote working , So I am highly agreed that today have more choices then before.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear: you strongly agree that people have more choices today, and both body paragraphs give relevant examples, including study fields such as artificial intelligence, remote work, online businesses and transport. This addresses the task and provides a reasonable basis for your view. Some points, however, are developed more fully than others: the discussion of education gives a specific comparison with the past, while the transport example is brief and does not clearly explain how more vehicle options amount to greater choice overall. The conclusion also introduces government jobs without developing that contrast earlier. To strengthen the response, explain the significance of each example and keep the comparison with the past consistent. The clear position and relevant support are strong, but fuller development is still needed.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The paragraphs group related examples, and signposts such as “On the one hand” and “Furthermore” help readers follow the discussion. However, some linking is mechanical or imprecise. “On the second hand” is not the appropriate counterpart to “On the one hand,” and repeated use of “Furthermore” makes the progression feel formulaic. The second body paragraph also moves from remote work to online stores and then transport without clearly connecting these examples to one central point. Use topic sentences to establish each paragraph’s focus, and vary transitions while making relationships between examples explicit. Overall organisation is coherent, though cohesion and progression are not consistently smooth.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to discuss education, employment, technology and transport, including “remote working,” “e-commerce stores” and “driverless cars.” These choices help communicate relevant examples, and there is some attempt to use less common terms. However, several inaccurate or unnatural expressions limit precision: “huge criteria of fields,” “better demanding field study” and “from the rest of the bed” do not convey the intended meanings naturally. Repetition of “opportunities,” “options” and “convenient” also narrows the range. Aim for accurate collocations and more precise alternatives, such as “a wider range of degree programmes” or “manage an online store from home.” This would make the vocabulary more flexible and clearer while preserving your relevant ideas.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “because,” “while” and “if,” so there is some structural variety. Meaning is generally recoverable, but errors occur across the response and sometimes make sentences difficult to follow. For example, “things has become” has incorrect subject–verb agreement, while “job opportunities and education is convenient” also mismatches the subject and verb. Verb forms are problematic in “old time did not offered,” and the final sentence, “I am highly agreed that today have more choices,” lacks a clear grammatical subject and uses an incorrect verb pattern. Review agreement, tense and clause construction, then proofread punctuation and sentence boundaries. More accurate control of these patterns would make your ideas easier to understand.
