Student answer (Band 5.5)
Many individuals think that we have a lot of choices in this time and age. I completely agree with them as the invention of internet has made it possible to learn everything from anywhere and also how progressive people are now as compared to olden period.
Invention of internet has changed how we learn things nowadays. There is abundance in learning material all over the internet and with almost no restrictions to them. People can start learning from scratch about a new profession, acquire a fresh set of skills and even learn new things while on the job which was not possible in the previous generations. For example, I saw a video on youtube explaining how can we repair any mobile phone. It was a very detailed video of about 20 hours explaining how each component works and how it can be repaired.
Another reason is how progressive people have become nowadays. In old times, people were furious about new inventions. If someone had a difference in opinion on any invention, they were faced with harsh criticism. For women, it was worse people were not only furious but burned them down for inventing something new.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that everyone has too many choices nowadays and people should take advantage of it to it's fullest.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear from the opening and conclusion: you strongly agree that people have many choices, and you give two relevant areas—online learning and changing attitudes to innovation. The mobile-phone repair video is a specific example that helps illustrate access to learning. However, the response addresses the question only partially because it does not explain in enough detail how these examples amount to having “too many” choices, rather than simply more opportunities. The point about people in the past opposing inventions is also broad and its connection to choice is not fully explained. The response is 33 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to develop and support your ideas. Extend each main point with clearer explanation and a relevant example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs present reasons, and a conclusion restates your position. The paragraphs also have clear central topics, introduced by “Invention of internet” and “Another reason.” However, progression within the paragraphs is limited: the first moves from online resources to a long video example without fully linking these details back to the question of excessive choice. The second makes a broad claim about past attitudes but does not develop the connection. Some linking is mechanical, and the conclusion adds little beyond repeating the introduction. Use clearer transitions between claim, explanation, and example, and make each paragraph build directly towards your argument.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including topic-related expressions such as “learning material,” “profession,” “skills,” and “harsh criticism.” There are also attempts at more specific phrasing, such as “each component works.” However, several choices are awkward or imprecise, including “in this time and age,” “There is abundance in learning material,” and “people were furious about new inventions.” “Olden period” and “fresh set of skills” also sound unnatural in this context. These noticeable collocation and word-choice problems make parts of the response less fluent, although the overall meaning remains understandable. Aim for more natural academic phrasing and choose words that express your intended meaning precisely.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use both simple sentences and some attempts at longer structures, such as the sentence beginning “People can start learning from scratch…” and the conditional example introduced by “If someone had a difference in opinion…”. Meaning is generally understandable, but errors recur in articles, verb forms, and sentence construction. For example, “the invention of internet” needs an article before “internet,” while “how can we repair any mobile phone” uses question word order inside a statement. The sentence “For women, it was worse people were…” also needs punctuation or a linking structure to join its clauses. The final phrase “to it's fullest” contains an incorrect possessive form. Review embedded questions, articles, and clause punctuation, then proofread for these recurring patterns.
