Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You state a relevant position—“I largely agree”—and begin to explain it through increased study and employment options. However, the response addresses the question only minimally: it does not explain in enough detail why having many choices is beneficial or whether it can also create difficulties, and the examples are brief and unfinished. The employment point ends at “Mor,” so its meaning and support are unclear. The response also contains 137 words, which is 113 words below the required minimum, leaving major parts of the argument undeveloped. To improve, give a clear reason in each body paragraph, explain how it supports your view, and add a specific example before concluding.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

There is a basic attempt to organise the response: an opening gives your opinion, followed by a paragraph beginning “On the one hand.” Linking expressions such as “for instance” also show an effort to connect claims and examples. However, the ideas do not progress clearly from one point to the next, and the second paragraph is cut off at “Mor,” leaving the discussion incomplete. The opening sentence combines several ideas without clear boundaries, while repeated references to choices do not establish a developed line of argument. Use separate paragraphs for distinct reasons, make each paragraph follow a claim–explanation–example pattern, and finish with a conclusion that restates your position.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “technology,” “employment,” “field,” and “choices,” so the reader can identify your general subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or spellings make the message difficult to follow, such as “a numerous choices,” “oppend dors,” and “confortable.” Some phrases are also imprecise, including “a significant development in several areas” and “a large list of choices to do.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise expressions such as “a wider range of career options” and “make informed decisions” would help you explain your ideas clearly without relying repeatedly on “choices.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt to express connected ideas using longer sentences and clauses, for example, the sentence beginning “From my perspective” and the explanation introduced by “which means.” This shows some effort to go beyond simple statements. However, the range remains limited, and errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles, and punctuation are frequent enough to make parts difficult to read. For instance, “the technologies makes” has subject–verb disagreement, while “there is a several employment” has an incorrect verb and article pattern. The opening also runs several clauses together without effective punctuation. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with controlled clauses using full stops and commas.
