Student answer (Band 5.0)

It is stated that some people believe that nowadays we have too many choices. However, in my opinion, while I believe every individuals have their own opinions and attitudes. This leads to select many choices and I strongly agree with thst option.

Nowasays with the globalization and the technological development are provide so many choices such as job options, study areas, fashion selection, food and beverage options, transportaion options and there are many selections. Every people have their own taste, attitudes, talents, preferences and opinions. I widely beileve that due to this reasons inividuals have to select kind of options. For example, finacial situations are directly affect to the choices. Namely, if rich people spend more money their needs are different from the poor people. Financialy stable people are looking choose to expensive items and luxary items. In contrast, financialy unstable people are always choose low cost product or services. In addition, people's abilities are affect to the choices. That is to say, if someone talented or skilled they can find better job opportunites and better studie options. Although, some students are dreaming their future. As a result, they choose their paths as their needed.

On the other hand, a significant number of people straggle to choose right paths and needs. For example, most students hard to find right paths. These days there are many study materials and options. So, students have to face some difficulties to choose the correct way. At that time parents and teacher should be guide them to find better ways. Not only that, sometimes people move to unnecessary spending and wrong selections due to lack of experiences and knoweledge. However, people should avoid unnecessary expenses. Besides this, people should choose right paths and they have to find their needs as well.

In conclusion, in the modern world people have too many choices due to taste, ability and financial situtaion. Right guidenes is important for all individuals to choose option. Consequently, we can move our life better way.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You give a clear overall view that you agree people have many choices, and you address both the benefits of having options and the difficulty of choosing. Examples involving financial circumstances and students’ study decisions are relevant to the question. However, the position is not consistently expressed: the opening says “I strongly agree,” but the first paragraph also suggests people’s differing preferences lead them to select many choices, without clearly explaining whether this is a benefit or a problem. Several points, such as people choosing expensive or low-cost products, describe differences in choice rather than showing why there are too many choices. Develop the central argument with clearer explanations and a more specific example of choice overload.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the second body paragraph introduces a contrasting concern about choosing the right path. This gives the reader some sense of organisation. However, progression within paragraphs is often unclear: the first body paragraph moves from globalisation to personal preferences, finances and abilities without showing how each point supports the main claim. Linking phrases such as “In addition,” “That is to say,” and “As a result” are used, but some connections are mechanical or do not make the relationship between ideas clear. For example, “Although, some students are dreaming their future” does not connect logically to the preceding point. Group related ideas and use clearer topic sentences and references.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “globalization,” “preferences,” “financial situations,” “study materials,” and “unnecessary spending.” This shows some ability to discuss choices across different areas of life. However, the range is limited by repeated general words such as “choices,” “options,” and “people,” while frequent spelling and word-choice errors sometimes make the message difficult to follow. Examples include “thst,” “transportaion,” “luxary,” and “straggle.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “choose their paths as their needed” and “move our life better way.” Build a more precise set of phrases for choice and decision-making, and check spelling and collocations carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including conditional structures such as “if rich people spend more money…” and contrastive forms such as “In contrast.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some relationships difficult to understand. For example, “while I believe every individuals have their own opinions and attitudes” is an incomplete construction, and “Financial situations are directly affect to the choices” has an incorrect verb pattern. Agreement and verb forms also need attention in “people’s abilities are affect” and “parents and teacher should be guide them.” Practise building complete sentences with one clear main clause, then check subject–verb agreement and verb patterns.
