Student answer (Band 5.5)

In recent days, some people say that we have a significant number of options to choose in our daily life. I strongly agree with this point because technology is evolved at a rapid pace as compared to past which gives us different opportunities to explore whether it is related to health and education or our daily usage gadgets like mobiles etc.

In case of health and education, we have various options to select bestest or a moderate side where they enertain us accordingly like if we have enough money in our pocket we can avail a high standard of education in reputed learning institutes in any corner of the world. Same is the case of health, we can opt for best medical facilities. For example, there are several technologically advanced labs which provides high-end facilities to their costumers.

Another benefit includes our daily routine goods. We have a number of choices to decide which product will suit us or which one will be benefical for us. In case of digital products if we take the example of mobiles, we can compare one model with another and select the bestest. Other gadgets includes different types of PCs, watches, laptops etc. For instance, if I have to choose a laptop I will definitely go for a latest one. So I believe that technology has changed our daily life with a substantial growth and provides us many reasons to choose better options.

In conclusion, I strongly agree that in recent years we have multiple choices whether it is related to your health and education or your daily routine products we can opt them accordingly.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear: you strongly agree that people now have many choices, and you give relevant examples from education, healthcare and consumer technology. The examples of choosing an institute, medical facilities and a mobile or laptop help connect your view to everyday life. However, the response mainly lists areas where options exist rather than explaining in depth why this abundance is significant or whether it can also create difficulties. Some support is also unclear: “they entertain us accordingly” does not explain the point about education or health, and the laptop example focuses on choosing the latest model rather than comparing the benefits of having many options. Develop each main reason with a clearer explanation and a more specific example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs give examples, and a conclusion restates your position. This makes the overall line of argument understandable. However, progression within the paragraphs is sometimes list-like, particularly in the paragraph moving from mobiles to PCs, watches and laptops. Connections between ideas are also occasionally unclear; for example, “they entertain us accordingly” does not clearly link to the preceding point about education and health. The repeated use of “In case” and “For example” makes the linking somewhat mechanical, while the conclusion repeats the introduction without drawing the reasons together. Use clearer topic sentences and explain how each example supports the central claim.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate your main ideas, including “medical facilities,” “reputed learning institutes,” “technologically advanced labs” and “digital products.” There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “substantial growth.” However, word choice and spelling errors are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning less clear. Examples include “bestest,” “benefical,” “costumers” and “enertain”; “options to choose” is also an awkward collocation. Some wording is vague or imprecise, such as “a moderate side” and “daily usage gadgets.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully; a smaller set of well-chosen expressions would make the argument clearer and more convincing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including a conditional example beginning “if we have enough money in our pocket” and a relative clause in “which will suit us.” The main message is generally understandable, but errors occur across verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction. For instance, “technology is evolved” should use a correct passive or active form, and “labs which provides” has a subject–verb agreement problem. The opening sentence also has an awkwardly constructed comparison with “as compared to past.” Several sentences join multiple ideas with limited control, especially the long sentence about education and health. Practise building accurate complex sentences and check agreement and verb forms before adding further clauses.
