Student answer (Band 5.5)

Several individual believe that nowdays we have numerous number of choices. Therefore ahead my opinion to some extent i agree that in todays world there are number of options in individuals life.

In todays faced paced world people have too many choices, too choose their choices on the basis of their needs and wants for example if someone hope to start their owned business in future so they have numerous number of choices to what kind of business they wants to start such as, wholesale, digital marketing, clothes etc. on the other hand college students also choose thier subject accoding to their carreer they have many choices what kind of subjects they want to study.

On the one hand nowdays we have to many options in campare the past in terms of technology, carreer options, shopping, for example if some buy a phone they to many options to choose they check every brand and campare them with each other. on top of they camparing them and become confused because too many choices can sometimes make decision-dificult and this lead to dissatisfaction people might be regret their decision when they see a better option

In conclusion, too many choices have benefits and also some drawbacks people have lots of options in todays world in campare to past but sometimes it makes our life difficult. In 90s people dont have many choices in their life and i think it can help then to live a peacefull life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You give a clear, though qualified, response by saying you agree “to some extent,” and you address the idea that modern life offers more options than the past. The examples of business types, college subjects and phone brands are relevant to the topic. However, these points are mostly listed rather than explained: the business and subject examples show choice, but do not fully explain its effects or why it is excessive. You do mention confusion, difficult decisions and regret, which begins to develop a drawback, but the benefits are not explained in comparable detail. The conclusion repeats your position without resolving this balance. The response is also five words below the required minimum. Develop fewer examples more fully and make your extent of agreement consistent throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the reader can generally follow the main topic. You use linking expressions such as “on the other hand,” “for example” and “in conclusion.” However, progression between ideas is not always clear: the first body paragraph lists business and study choices, while the next begins “On the one hand” without a clear contrasting “other hand.” Several points repeat the general claim that there are many options, and some sentences run together, making relationships between ideas harder to follow. Organise each paragraph around one clear point, then explain and illustrate it. Use linking phrases only when they accurately show contrast, cause or addition, and check that pronouns such as “they” have clear references.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the basic ideas, including “choices,” “career options,” “compare,” “confused” and “dissatisfaction.” However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, especially “choices” and “many options.” Some inaccurate or unnatural expressions make parts difficult to understand, such as “numerous number of choices,” “choose their choices” and “decision-dificult.” Spelling errors, including “nowdays,” “thier” and “carreer,” also reduce accuracy. Aim for more precise collocations and vary repeated wording; for example, distinguish between having a wide range of options and finding a decision difficult. Proofreading for spelling and word forms would make your meaning clearer and more fluent.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a conditional example beginning “if someone hope to start their owned business.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and frequent errors in agreement, verb forms, articles and sentence construction sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. For instance, “people might be regret their decision” needs a different verb pattern, while “if some buy a phone they to many options” lacks a complete grammatical structure. Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, particularly in the long body sentences. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a clearly formed subordinate clause, then check subject–verb agreement and verb patterns. Greater control of these basics will help you express your ideas without relying on run-on sentences.
