Student answer (Band 5.5)
In recent years, having too many choices has became a central focus of global discoure. While some people believe that it is true, other think that it is not true we do not have so manh choices. In my opinion, i strongly agree that we do have numerous choices.
to begin, having multitude of options can be very negative for people who can not reach a wise decision, because having so many choices somtimes it kills the choices which kalled the paradox of choice in psychology where it makes it harder to individuals to choose when having so many options. For instance, in online shooping people spend hours scrolling through endless catalogues without choosing or selecting anything, sometime even for choosing thier size they get confused having all sizes available on website or even in real life. As a result, having so many options somtimes can be harmful even if people dosent see it.
In addition, In the past having limited options saved them so much time and efforts qnd smplified thier ability to choose. nowadays, marekting and scocial media leads people to think that there is always a better choice right in the corner, weather it is a lower price or a better quality or a speeder delivery that what make people more confused.
In conclusion, I strongly agree that we do have at present so many choices in several things in life in general and it is not always the best thing that we can have, so simplifying our option is more benificial somtimes.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction: you strongly agree that people now have numerous choices, and the conclusion returns to this view. The discussion is relevant, especially the example of shoppers scrolling through online catalogues and the point that marketing and social media encourage people to keep searching for a better option. However, the second supporting point is less fully explained: the contrast with the past is asserted, but there is little detail about how limited choices saved time or effort. Some claims, such as having all clothing sizes available causing confusion, are also unclear as evidence. Develop each reason with a specific explanation or example to make the response more complete and convincing.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. Paragraphs generally focus on relevant points, and signposts such as “To begin,” “In addition,” and “In conclusion” help show the direction of the argument. However, progression within the second body paragraph is less clear: the shift from past choices to marketing and social media needs a more explicit link. Some connections are also awkward or repetitive, particularly the repeated use of “so many choices” and “sometimes.” Clarify how each example supports its main point, and use pronouns and linking phrases carefully so that references such as “them” in “In the past having limited options saved them” have a clear antecedent.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough vocabulary to communicate the main argument and make a relevant attempt at less common language, including “paradox of choice,” “endless catalogues,” and “marketing.” These choices suit the topic, but control is uneven: spelling errors such as “discoure,” “shooping,” and “benificial” are noticeable, while phrases such as “kills the choices” and “a better choice right in the corner” are not natural collocations. Repetition of “choices” and “options” also limits variety. Aim to learn accurate topic-related phrases and check spelling, word forms and collocations; this will make your meaning more precise without requiring unnecessarily complicated vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a reason clause beginning “because” and a relative clause in “where it makes it harder.” However, some sentence structures are faulty or incomplete, and errors sometimes make the reader work to understand the intended relationship between ideas. For example, “because having so many choices sometimes it kills…” lacks a well-formed clause, while “that what make people more confused” has problems with clause structure and subject–verb agreement. There are also errors in verb forms and sentence boundaries, such as “has became” and the lower-case sentence openings. Practise building accurate complex sentences, then proofread for agreement, verb forms, articles and punctuation.
