Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0

You state a position—“I partially agree”—and introduce two potentially relevant points: choices can open paths, but may discourage people from working hard. However, these points are not explained or supported, and the response ends mid-thought with “people who looses to struggle can have advantage because”. As a result, the reader cannot understand the reasoning behind your position or see how you weigh the two sides. The response also does not meet the required minimum length, so it lacks the development and relevant examples needed to address the task. To improve, explain each reason fully, give a specific example, and conclude by clarifying when choice is beneficial and when it becomes excessive.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.0

There is a basic attempt to organise the response: you begin with a general statement, introduce a contrast with “While”, and then state your position. These signals show an effort to connect ideas. However, the progression is very limited, and the final sentence fragment leaves the argument unfinished. “But” begins a new thought without establishing how it relates to the earlier point, while “because” promises an explanation that never follows. There is no developed paragraph structure to guide the reader through reasons and examples. Build a clear sequence—introduction, one paragraph for each main reason, and a conclusion—and use linking expressions only where they accurately show the relationship between ideas.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “choices”, “paths”, “working hard”, and “opportunities”, and the meaning of the opening is generally understandable. There is also an attempt at a more formal opening in “In the modern era”. However, the range is narrow, and several expressions are inaccurate or repetitive: “different of different kind of opportunities” repeats the same idea, while “take the advantage” is not a natural collocation. “In every walk of their lives” is also an awkward way to express the idea. Aim for precise phrases such as “a wide range of opportunities” and “benefit from different options”, and use topic-specific vocabulary to explain the effects of having too much choice.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both a complex opening sentence with “While” and a sentence expressing your position, so there is some variety beyond simple statements. The main ideas in the opening remain understandable. However, grammatical control is inconsistent: “people who looses” has an incorrect verb form, and “can have advantage” is missing an article. The sentence ending “because” is incomplete, and the comma after “hard” is incorrectly placed before the full stop. The response does not show enough sustained sentence variety to demonstrate reliable control. Practise complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, check subject–verb agreement and articles, and proofread punctuation. For example, finish the final thought with a complete explanation rather than leaving a dependent clause unfinished.
