Student answer (Band 5.5)

In recent times, a few people believe that we have too many choices. I completely agree the statement, because there are a lot of oppurtunities for a educated person. Similarly, developments in farming made us to grow a wide range of the crops.

Educated person can now work at different sectors irrespective of his study. Moreover, a few people are working in the different sectors irrespective of their study. This made the people to get more jobs irrelavent of their field. For instance, a mechanical engineer can now work in a software company if he have skills. This show that they are not restricted to any particular field. Also, a graduated student have many governament jobs. For example, one can work at bank, also serve as a police, if he was graduated. This state that, there are too many choices to work for a graduate.

Similarly, farmer can grow a wide variety of the crops. Earlier they are bounded to the selected crops and cultivate only them. After the reforms in the agriculture, such as genetically developed seeds, now a farmer can grow any type of crop. Additionally, farmers are cultivating exotic fruits to generate revenue. For example, genetically evolved plants of apple can grow in the hot climate regions also they generate additional income to them. By following developments in the agriculture, we can increase the production of crop as well as we can develop new spieces.

I conclude, there are many choices for a graduate, as he can have access to lot of jobs also by following strategies, farmers can now grow various crops which was not done earlier.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear from the introduction: you completely agree that people have too many choices. You support this with two relevant areas—career options for graduates and greater crop variety for farmers—and include examples such as an engineer entering software and apples being grown in hotter regions. This gives the response a relevant, developed overall argument. However, the discussion does not fully explain why these examples amount to “too many” choices, rather than simply more opportunities, and the farming point is less clearly connected to the question. The conclusion restates your position but does not add a final insight. To strengthen the response, explain the effects of having so many options and develop each example more precisely.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The essay has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs on employment and agriculture, and a conclusion. The reader can follow the main progression, and signposts such as “Similarly,” “Moreover,” and “For instance” help connect examples to claims. However, some linking is mechanical or repetitive, particularly the repeated use of “Similarly” and “For example.” The employment paragraph also repeats the idea that people can work outside their field, while the relationship between the farming discussion and the central argument is not always made explicit. Some references, such as “This state that,” are unclear. Use a wider range of natural transitions and make the link between each example and your position explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use enough vocabulary to discuss education, employment, and farming, including terms such as “irrespective,” “genetically developed seeds,” and “generate revenue.” These choices show an attempt to use topic-specific language. However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable, including “oppurtunities,” “irrelavent,” “governament,” and “spieces.” Some phrases are also unnatural or imprecise, such as “serve as a police” and “developments in the agriculture.” Repetition of “choices,” “work,” and “grow” limits the range. Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common collocations, and choose precise expressions—for example, “work in the police force” and “agricultural developments”—rather than translating phrases directly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including conditional clauses such as “if he have skills” and a relative clause in “which was not done earlier.” The main ideas are generally understandable, but some errors in agreement, tense, articles, and sentence construction reduce accuracy. Examples include “a educated person,” “if he have skills,” “This show,” and “a graduated student have.” Tense use is also inconsistent in “Earlier they are bounded” and “now a farmer can grow.” Some sentences join ideas awkwardly, as in “apple can grow in the hot climate regions also they generate additional income.” Review subject–verb agreement and article use, and separate or connect clauses with accurate punctuation and conjunctions. More consistently controlled complex sentences would improve clarity.
