Student answer (Band 5.0)

nowadays, world has become a global village that provides a vast range of choices. People have several options in modern world. I firmly agree this view because people have many educational options and variations of daily life products.

on the one hand, people can select many educational opporunities because of various options rather than one. This choice gives people to move better career. for example, If a person do not have interest in science related field because lack of job, they can choose other option that is affordable for them. Therefore, people can choose better.

On the other hand, people can use vast range of products. due to social media, people can easily know about the prices and ingradent of products and buy them. For example, a individual can buy different snack fron market at a time, if he do not like one, he can try another. as a reault, it make easier and good lifestyle.

howerever, some choice cause problem for people because all things are not good for everyone. products are helpful only when they are vital for people.

in conclusion, people have many option in modern world. this give advantage to human. furthermore, people become good lifestyle. conversely, these products are not beneficial for all

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You state a clear position in the introduction—“I firmly agree”—and give two relevant areas, education and consumer products, to explain why choices can be beneficial. However, the response only partially develops the task: the examples are brief and do not clearly show that there are “too many” choices, rather than simply many useful options. The paragraph beginning “however” introduces a drawback, but it is not explained or connected to your overall degree of agreement. The conclusion also repeats general claims instead of resolving this balance. The response is 42 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to develop reasons and examples. Extend each main idea with a specific, explained example and address the “too many” aspect directly.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs, a contrasting point and a conclusion. “On the one hand” and “On the other hand” help signal the two main examples, while “for example” introduces supporting details. However, progression is limited because the paragraphs mostly list claims rather than build a connected explanation. The contrast introduced by “however” is not developed, and the conclusion does not clearly follow from it. Some linking phrases are mechanical or do not express the relationship precisely, such as “as a result” before the broad claim about lifestyle. Improve cohesion by making each paragraph follow a clear claim–explanation–example sequence, and use references and transitions that show how each point supports your position.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the general ideas, including “educational opportunities,” “career,” “prices,” and “products.” There are also attempts at broader phrasing, such as “global village” and “vast range.” However, the vocabulary is limited and repetitive, particularly the repeated use of “choice,” “people,” and “products.” Several word-choice, collocation and spelling errors make parts less clear, including “move better career,” “ingradent,” “fron,” and “good lifestyle.” Aim for more precise expressions and check spelling carefully. For example, describe how options “expand career opportunities” or how consumers “compare product prices and ingredients,” rather than relying on general phrases such as “choose better.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple sentences and longer structures, including a conditional example beginning “If a person…” and a reason clause introduced by “because.” This shows some effort to vary sentence forms. However, the range remains limited, and errors are frequent enough to make several sentences awkward or difficult to follow. Examples include “I firmly agree this view,” “This choice gives people to move better career,” and “a individual can buy… if he do not like one.” These involve missing or incorrect grammatical patterns, articles, and subject–verb agreement. Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, especially at sentence beginnings. Practise accurate sentence frames such as “I agree with this view,” “This gives people the opportunity to…,” and “If a person does not like one, they can try another.”
