Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You take a clear position in the opening—“we have a different and many choices”—and give relevant examples, especially online shopping, payment methods, education, and medical services. These examples show that you understand the topic. However, the response mainly lists areas where choices exist rather than explaining whether having so many choices is beneficial, harmful, or both. The task asks you to state and support your view, but there is little reasoning or personal example to develop it. The response is also 80 words below the required minimum, which limits the opportunity to address the question fully. To strengthen your answer, explain the effects of choice and support your position with a specific example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5
The response stays broadly focused on the availability of choices, and the examples are connected to the topic. However, ideas are presented as one continuous sequence, without paragraphs or a clear progression from a position to reasons and a conclusion. Repeated openings such as “And” and “different” make the writing feel like a list, while links between examples are not always clear. For instance, the move from online shopping to education and then children’s games is abrupt. Organise the response into an introduction, body paragraphs grouped by reason, and a conclusion. Use a wider range of clear linking phrases to show how each example supports your view.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use basic vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “online shopping,” “payment option,” “subjects,” and “design and colour,” so the reader can identify several areas in which choices are available. However, the range is repetitive, with “different,” “available,” and “option” used many times, and some phrases are difficult to interpret, such as “education in lost off option” and “different typ payment.” Several word forms and collocations are inaccurate, which reduces precision. Build a more varied set of topic vocabulary and check common combinations, such as “a wide range of products” and “payment methods.” More precise wording would help you explain not only where choices exist but also their effects.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You communicate through short statements and make some attempts to connect ideas, but sentence structures are very limited and many sentences contain errors that make the meaning unclear. For example, “They application in a too many choices in every items” has problems with sentence formation, articles, and plural agreement; “This app in all items are available” also lacks a clear grammatical structure. The response relies heavily on simple clauses beginning with “And,” with little evidence of controlled complex sentences. Practise forming complete subject–verb sentences, checking singular and plural forms, and using articles consistently. Then combine related ideas with structures such as “Although online stores offer many products, this can make choosing more difficult.”
