Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this modern world, many people are of the view that they are given countless choices. I strongly agree with this idea as decision making has been made difficult due to various choices between things.
Many choices available are not limited to certain fields but can be found in variety of sectors in everday lives. For instance, making up a mind of choosing a degree, after the completion of intermediate studies. Then during higher studies trying to figure out which courses to opt for that would be beneficial for choosing careers. During decision making process related to, which field to choose for higher studies also for selecting a career path, individual's are confused by their own thoughts, societal pressures, and recommendations by their elders. Due to these reasons human beings are pressurised to make decisions recklessly, which could have a bad impact to one's mental health.
Apart from educational and career choices, there are a lot of choices in other sectors like, buying a car. If a person has a budget of $20,00 within this budget a person can buy different varieties of cars, each having a special feature of its own, which makes it different from the rest. Deciding which car to buy would become a difficult decision to make as the person would be confused with so many options to select from. After purchasing the car, the opion of a person would change after months, resulting into regret of not buying the other particular car
In conclusion, variety of choices are given to individuals, from my perspective this statement is true as many options can sometimes be make people take abrupt decisions.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction: you strongly agree that having many choices makes decision-making difficult. Both examples are relevant: choosing education and a career, and selecting a car within a budget. You also explain possible consequences, including pressure, mental-health effects and regret. This addresses the task, but the ideas are not developed equally or fully. The education example lists several stages and pressures without showing in detail how an abundance of options itself causes the difficulty. The car example is more specific, but the budget figure and the reason for later regret are not explained. Develop each example with a clearer cause-and-effect explanation and a more precise supporting detail.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs give examples, and a conclusion restates your position. The progression from education and careers to consumer choices is logical, and phrases such as “For instance” and “Apart from” help signal the examples. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. The education paragraph begins with a sentence fragment, “For instance, making up a mind of choosing a degree,” and the long sentence about higher studies and career choices is difficult to follow. The conclusion repeats the main claim rather than drawing the examples together. Use complete topic sentences, divide complex explanations into clearer steps, and make references such as “this statement” more specific.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of vocabulary, including “societal pressures,” “career path,” “mental health,” “budget” and “regret,” which allows you to discuss both personal and consumer decisions. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “from my perspective.” However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or awkward, including “make up a mind of choosing,” “variety of sectors in everday lives,” and “resulting into regret.” Spelling errors such as “everday” and “opion” also reduce accuracy. Aim for natural combinations and check spelling carefully; for example, say “decide which degree to pursue” and “regret not buying the other car.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses explaining causes and consequences, as in “Due to these reasons human beings are pressurised to make decisions recklessly.” The main message remains understandable, but some grammatical errors occur. “For instance, making up a mind…” is a fragment, while “individual's are confused” uses an incorrect apostrophe and agreement pattern. Other examples include “a person has a budget … within this budget a person can buy,” which needs clearer sentence boundaries, and “can sometimes be make people take,” where the verb form is faulty. Review sentence completeness, subject–verb agreement, articles and verb patterns. More accurate control of these structures would make your explanations easier to follow.
