The bar chart below shows the top ten countries for the production and consumption of electricity in 2014.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

The bar graph illustrates the production and consumption of electricity in 2014 through choosing the top leading ten countries.

Overall, the countries are arranged in rank vise with their production and consumption of electricity such as; China, US, Russia, Japan, India, Canada, France, Brazil, Germany and Korea.

Initially, The China is leading in number one position with production 5,398 billion kWh and consumption 5,322 billion kWh of electricity during 2014. Furthermore, the second largest proportion is United States with production (4,099 billion kWh) and consumption (3,866 billion kWh). These two countries are in higher position in electricity.

On the other hand, Korea has been in the least position of electricity for the production and consumption. In contrast, remaining countries; Russia, Japan, India, Canada, France, Brazil and Germany are having the average level of using the electricity in the year 2014. There fore, most of the countries are depending on electricity is approximately in accurate billion kWh.
