The bar chart below shows the top ten countries for the production and consumption of electricity in 2014.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
The given bar chart depicts the making and consumption of power in top ten nations during the year 2014.
Overall it is clearly visible that China was the dominating producer of electricity , while Brazil was the lowest consumer of power.
Commencing with the France and Brazil which were almost same in terms of production by 561.2 billion kWh and 530.7 billion kWh respectively, however there was the difference of almost 4200 billion kWh in the making between Canada and China by 618.9 billion kWh and 5398 billion kWh respectively, moving further to Korea republic whose production was 485.1 billion kWh and consumption unit was 449.5 billion kWh
Furthermore, China was the highest consumer of electricity by 5398 billion kWh, however Brazil was the lowest consumer of electricity by 455.8 billion kWh , nonetheless India shows the production of 871 billion kWh, however the utilisation of electricity by India was 698.8 billion kWh.
