Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response covers the main features of the chart, identifying the top producers and consumers. However, the analysis is somewhat superficial. You mention China and the USA, but the grouping of the remaining eight countries is vague and lacks specific data points to support your claims. For instance, stating that Russia, Japan, and India have production between '871-1057 kWh' is a bit imprecise and does not fully utilize the data provided in the chart. To improve, ensure you select key data points to illustrate your comparisons more clearly rather than grouping them into general categories.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'Last but not least', which are more suited to discursive essays than data reports. Additionally, some sentences are disjointed, such as 'While china owes top of the table', which lacks a clear connection to the following clause. Improving the flow between sentences by using more varied linking phrases would enhance the logical progression of your report.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. You rely heavily on repetitive phrasing like 'production and consumption of electricity'. There are also errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'top leaderships' and 'table toppers', which are not standard academic English. Furthermore, the units are inconsistently handled (e.g., '5398 kWh' instead of 'billion kWh'). To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise terminology and avoiding informal or redundant expressions.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('the China and Usa owns', 'other eight countries has'), missing articles ('the China', 'the United States'), and awkward sentence structures ('it's upto 4099 kWh although the consumption... is 3866 kWh'). While you attempt some complex sentences, they are often marred by these errors. Focusing on basic sentence construction and ensuring subject-verb agreement will significantly improve the accuracy of your writing.
