Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response covers the main features of the data, identifying China as the leader and Korea as the lowest. However, the overview is poorly constructed and contains confusing phrasing, such as 'Korea. rep production oof elecricity is smallest recorded'. While the key data points are included, the report lacks a clear, analytical structure. The comparison between production and consumption is mentioned, but the presentation is largely a list of figures rather than a synthesis of trends. To improve, focus on grouping countries by their performance rather than listing them sequentially, and ensure the overview clearly summarizes the most significant differences between production and consumption.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay lacks logical paragraphing, as it is essentially one long block of text. Cohesive devices are either missing or used incorrectly, such as 'The second number is USA' or 'the next nmber are japan'. The progression of ideas is mechanical, relying on a repetitive 'country name + production + consumption' structure. There is no clear transition between the overview and the body details. To reach a higher band, you must use clear paragraph breaks and a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'In contrast', 'Furthermore', 'Conversely') to guide the reader through the comparisons.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, with frequent spelling errors such as 'elecricty', 'comsumption', 'blln', and 'geeermany'. The phrasing is often unnatural, for example, 'the second number is USA' and 'the next nmber are japan'. There is little attempt to use a range of vocabulary to describe the data; instead, the same verbs and nouns are repeated throughout the text. To improve, focus on learning synonyms for 'production' and 'consumption' and practice using precise reporting verbs like 'surpassed', 'accounted for', or 'exceeded'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. There are issues with subject-verb agreement ('Both was peaked'), article usage ('In china'), and sentence structure ('In finally Korea. Rep electricity of production was...'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with many run-on sentences and incorrect capitalization. While there is an attempt to use complex structures, they are often faulty. To improve, focus on basic sentence construction, ensuring every sentence has a clear subject and verb, and proofread for common errors like missing articles and incorrect verb tenses.
