The bar chart below shows the top ten countries for the production and consumption of electricity in 2014.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The bar chart illustrates the ranking of ten different countries for generation and utilisation of electricity in 2014.

Overall, all the ten countries except Germany generate more electricity compared to its consumption. Moreover, the United States had highest difference between production and consumption across all ten countries. Apart from this, China was ranked first for both highest production and consumption of electricity while Korea was ranked tenth.

To be specific, China generated highest electricity (5,398 billion kWh) in 2014 and also consumed 5,322 billion kWh of electricity. Followed by the United States with production of 4,099 billion kWh of electricity and consuming 233 billion kWh less electricity. Russia, Japan and India generated 1,057, 936.2 and 871 billion kWh, respectively while utilised 1,038, 856.7 and 698.8 billion kWh electricity, respectively. Meanwhile, Canada, France and Brazil had difference of 119, 98.3 and 74.9 billion kWh, respectively. Germany generated 526.6 but utilised 582.5. Korea produced 485.1 but utilised
