The bar chart below shows the top ten countries for the production and consumption of electricity in 2014.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

As we see in the diagram, this graph shows the production and consumption of the electricity in 2014 by the top ten countries. The China is on the number one in the production and consumption of the electricity in 2014 due to its population.

The Production of electricity of every country is larger than its consumption expect germany. The consumption of electricity of germany is exceeds the level of production of electricity in 2014. There is a huge difference between the second and third position.

United states produced 4 times more electricity than the Russia. There is only a slight difference amoung all the countries from number 3 to number 10. There is a special case in the chart which catch my attention, this special case is germany whose production of electricity is 526.6 billion KWh but its consumtion is 582.5 billion KWh which means that germany must be import electricity from other countries to fulfill its needs.

Summary of it the countries showed the relatively similiar consumption and production numbers with minor differences.
