The bar chart below shows the top ten countries for the production and consumption of electricity in 2014.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

The bar graph illustrates the production and consumption of electricity in 2014 in ten different countries. Looking from an overall perspective it is apparent that highest amount of electricity was producing and consuming in China while, the lowest amount of electricity producing and consuming in Korea.

Firstly, the China was producing electricity about 5398 billion kWH and consumption was slightly lower which was about 5322 billion kWh while the America was second electricity producing at 4099 billion kWh and consumption was 3866 billion kWh. moreover the Russia was third in electricity was producing and cosuming the difference between them was 19 kWh the Japan was slightly less than Russia.

Secondly, India elcetricity producing was 871 billion kWh and consumption was 698 kWH moreover the Brazil and Canada eclectricity production and consumption was quite similiar in 2014. MOR
