The bar chart below shows the top ten countries for the production and consumption of electricity in 2014.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

There has image which illustrates the production and consumption of electricity of top ten countries in 2014. The production presented in billion kWh and consumption also in billion kWh.

To begin with, China had 5398 billion kwh production and the consumption was 5322. United State had 4099 billion production and 3866 billion kWh consumption. Russia was produced 1057 billion kWh electricity and consumed 1038. After that Japan was consumed 856.7 electricity and 936.2 billion kWh produced while India 871 billion kWh produced and 698.8 billion kWh consumed in 2014. Canada had 561.2 billion kWh production and 499.9 billion kWh consumption.

Moreover, France was consumed 462.9 billion kWh electricity and 561.2 billion kWh was produced. Brazil was used electricity 530.7 billion kWh production and consumed 455.8 billion kWh. Subsequently, Germany consumed and produced very near as Brazil which was 526.6 billion kWh production while 582.5 billion consumption. At the last country, which is Korea that produced 485.1 billion kWh electricity and 449.5 consumed.

The process concludes with, in 2014 China produced and consumed lot of electricity and Korea, Rep produced and consumed lowest then the other 8 countries.
