The bar chart below shows the top ten countries for the production and consumption of electricity in 2014.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
The bar chart illustrates comparison between the production and consumption of electricity in 2014. China being the most production and consumption country, while Korea being the least among the top ten countries.
Firstly, China has the highest generation 5,398 billion kWh as well as highest consumption 5,322 billion kWh which is followed by United States 4,099 billion kWh production and 3,866 billion kWh consumption. These two countries have higher percentage of both categories compare to other countries.
On the other hand, Korea has the least proportion about 485.1 kWh as well as least consumption with 449.5 billion kWh. Canada, France, Brazil and Germany has significantly similar percentage on the scale of [redacted phone] billion kWh for both production and consumption. Additionally, Russia, Japan and India has production and consumption with higher gap percentage as compare to France, Brazil and Germany which is almost about [redacted phone] billion kWh. These countries has quite lower percentage of production and consumption compare to United States and China.
