The bar chart below shows the top ten countries for the production and consumption of electricity in 2014.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

The bar chart compares electricity consumption and production among ten countries in 2014. Production of electricity in billion kWh shows with black color while consumption of electricity in billion kWh display with grey color.

Overall, China recorded the highest consumption of electricity as well as in production also whereas Korea,Rep had the lowest production and consumption of electricity. It is also noticable that main focus in 10 countries is on consumption of electricity as production of electricity.

Regarding the details,China produce 5,398 billion kWh electricity in 2014 while United States produce 4,099 billion kWh electricity, moreover, Korea,Rep produce lowest number of electricity in 2014. Similarly, China consume 5,322 billion kWh electricity while United States consume 3,866 billion kWh in 2014.
