The bar chart below shows the top ten countries for the production and consumption of electricity in 2014.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

The bar chart illustrates information about the production and the consumption of electricity in major ten cities in 2014.

Overall, it is evident that there were considerable changes among the given countries. China consistently recorded the highest figures, wheras, Korea Republic had the lowest values. In general, most countries showed their usage of electricity and their source of production which is significant low from the other countries.

According to bar chart, China is leading in both production and the consumption as 5,398 and 5,322 respectively. Similarly, United States consumption stood at 3,866 and production recorded 4,099.

In contrast, the other countries usage and out put is loer than the countries which are early mentioned. For example, Russia yield 1,057 and expenditure was 1,038. Hence, the other countries recorded not significant manufacture and utilization of electricity. Therefore, China and United States recorded the highest value of both production and the consumption throughout the 2014.
