The bar chart illustrates the top ten countries for the production and consumption of electricity in 2014.

Overall, Production (billion kWh) accounted for the largest share in China, whereas it recorded the lowest figure in Korea, Rep. Moreover, the United States represented the second-highest. In terms of Consumption (billion kWh), it registered the highest figure in China, while it accounted for the smallest share in Korea, Rep.; however, the United States represented the second-highest.

Looking first at the category production (billion kWh), China accounted for the largest share, at around 5,398, followed by the United States, Russia, Japan, India, Canada, France, Brazil, and Germany, whose figures stood at approximately 4,099, 1,057, 936.2, 871, 618.9, 561.2, 530.7, and 526.6, respectively, whereas the Republic of Korea registered the lowest share, at around 485.1.
