Student answer (Band 4.5)
Electricity is a fundamental Utility in nowadays, basically because we need it in Everyday's daily tasks
So Here we got numerous countries , which are electricity ranked by producing and Consuming by Million kWh
We have in the top three China United States and Russia We noticed that they have consumption ... it appears that the producing amount is a bit larger than the consumption one For instance , we have china with a producing of 5398 kWh
and 5322 kWh consumed ... and thats bigger than the anount used by united States that reaches 4099 kWh while consuming 3866 kWh
We can notice that The producing amount is a bit bigger than the consumption amount in various countries Like china ,united states , japan France,Canada, india, brazil And there's other ones which consume more than they produce like germany
And I see that the three producing countries sonsume large amounts .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You identify the leading countries and make a relevant comparison between production and consumption, using China and the United States as examples. You also note that Germany is an exception, where consumption exceeds production. However, the response only partially summarises the chart: it gives no clear, complete overview of the main pattern or the large gap between the top two countries and the rest, and several countries are listed without supporting figures. The statement that the figures are in “Million kWh” is inaccurate; the chart uses billion kWh. Some comparisons are also incomplete, and the final point about the top three consuming large amounts repeats an idea rather than adding a distinct feature. Select the key patterns and report them accurately and systematically.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
There is a basic sequence from an introductory comment to country comparisons, and phrases such as “For instance” and “We can notice” show an attempt to connect ideas. However, the response is difficult to follow because it is presented as one continuous block, with little clear progression from an overview to supporting details. Several ideas run together—for example, the top-three observation and the list of countries with higher production—and punctuation does not reliably mark sentence boundaries. The repeated use of “And” and “We can notice” also makes the linking mechanical. Organise the response into clear paragraphs, use one overview followed by grouped comparisons, and make each sentence’s relationship to the previous one explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The response uses some relevant chart vocabulary, including “production,” “consumption,” “ranked,” and “amount,” so the topic is generally recognisable. However, the range is limited and several choices are inaccurate or awkward, such as “electricity ranked by producing and Consuming” and “a producing of 5398.” “Million kWh” also mislabels the unit, while “fundamental Utility” and “Everyday’s daily tasks” are not natural expressions in this context. Capitalisation and spelling are inconsistent, including “china,” “thats,” and “anount.” These issues sometimes make the intended meaning less clear. Use precise reporting language such as “generated,” “consumed,” “stood at,” and “exceeded,” and keep units and country names accurate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt to combine ideas using clauses, as in “the producing amount is a bit bigger than the consumption amount,” and the reader can understand the broad comparison. However, sentence structures are mostly simple or incomplete, and attempts to extend them often lack reliable punctuation or grammatical control. For example, “For instance, we have china with a producing of 5398 kWh and 5322 kWh consumed” is not a well-formed sentence, and the long opening sequence lacks clear sentence boundaries. There are also problems with articles, agreement, and verb forms, as in “countries, which are electricity ranked” and “the three producing countries sonsume.” Use complete subject–verb sentences, check articles and agreement, and separate each comparison with appropriate punctuation.
