Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You identify the main extremes accurately: China leads both production and consumption, while Korea has the lowest figures, and you report many country values. The country-by-country coverage also includes the notable exception of Germany, where consumption (582.5) exceeds production (526.6). However, the overview is mostly a list of highest and lowest figures rather than a concise summary of the chart’s main patterns, such as the large gap between the top two countries and the much lower figures for the remaining countries. There is also a factual slip: China’s production is given once as 5,938, although the chart shows 5,398. Develop the overview and check figures carefully to make the report more complete and reliable.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, an overview, and paragraphs covering the higher- and lower-ranked countries. This helps the reader locate information, and comparisons such as “whereas” and “but” show an attempt to connect data. However, the progression is largely a sequence of country-by-country statements, with repeated reporting of production and consumption rather than grouping countries by meaningful patterns. Some links are awkward or unclear, as in “But this senario is not same for germany,” and punctuation is missing after “billion kwh” before “Howevere.” Organise the details into clearer comparison groups and use linking expressions accurately and selectively.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant task vocabulary, including “production,” “consumption,” “produced,” and “consumed,” so the basic meaning is generally clear. However, the range is limited and several phrases are repetitive or imprecise, such as “most amount,” “huge,” and “very less.” Some word choices do not fit formal chart description naturally, including “numbers of 1057” and “this senario.” Spelling errors such as “electricty,” “wheras,” “prodution,” and “consumpton” are noticeable and reduce accuracy. Build a more precise set of comparison terms—such as “highest,” “lowest,” “exceeded,” and “approximately”—and check spelling and collocations before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You communicate the basic comparisons using simple clauses and some longer sentences joined with “whereas,” “but,” and “because.” However, sentence structures are limited, and errors recur in articles, agreement, verb forms, and punctuation. For example, “the most amount of electricity produced was by china” is an awkwardly formed passive construction, while “India prodution is also huge” lacks a correctly formed subject and verb. The opening sentence also needs a full stop, and several sentences run together, such as the transition from Russia to Japan. Practise accurate comparative sentence patterns, for example, “China produced more electricity than any other country,” and punctuate each sentence clearly.
