The bar charts compares the ten leading countries in term of eletricity generation and usage in 2014. The figures are measured in billion killo watt hours.
Overall, china and united state were by far the largest producers and consumers of eletricity accounting for more than half of the globle total among the top ten. In all cpuntry production was slightly higher than consumption, and there was a significant gap between top two countries and the rest.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You identify the main pattern: China and the United States lead by a wide margin, and Germany is an exception because its consumption exceeds production. You also include several relevant figures, such as the US totals and Japan’s values. However, the overview contains an inaccurate claim that production was higher in every country; Germany’s consumption was higher. China’s production is initially misreported as 5,322, which is its consumption, before the correct production figure appears later. The response also gives limited coverage to the other countries and does not clearly compare their figures. A more accurate overview and a few well-chosen comparisons across the full chart would make the report more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, moving from an introduction and overview to details about the leading countries and selected others. This gives the reader a basic route through the information. However, progression is uneven: China is discussed repeatedly, and the sentence “China ranked first, producing 5,322” conflicts with the later, correct figure. The shift from the overview to the details is also abrupt, while the final paragraph groups several countries without a clear comparison. Use one paragraph for the overview and organise the details into meaningful groups, such as the two leaders and the remaining countries. Clearer referencing and fewer repeated statements would improve the flow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant task vocabulary, including “production,” “consumption,” “ranked first,” and “significant gap,” so the topic is generally clear. However, spelling errors and imprecise or repetitive wording are noticeable, including “eletricity,” “globle,” “coutries,” and “consumm ed.” Phrases such as “biggest countries for electricity” are also vague; “largest producers and consumers” is more precise. The repeated use of “produced” and “consumed” limits variety, and “the figures are measured in” could be expressed more naturally as “figures are given in.” Improving spelling and choosing accurate collocations would make the report easier to read and more precise.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and more developed sentences, including the contrast in “Germany is different from other countries because…” and the comparison “which was higher than its production.” Most of the intended meaning remains understandable. Some grammatical errors are present, however: “The bar charts compares” has a subject–verb agreement error, and “In all country production…” has problems with number and sentence construction. Punctuation and spacing are inconsistent, particularly where sentences run together after full stops. Check agreement, articles and plural forms, and separate each sentence clearly. More accurate control of these patterns, alongside your attempts at complex sentences, would strengthen the response.
