Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You identify the two measures and report several figures, including China’s production and consumption and the United States’ values. However, the response only minimally fulfils the task because it lacks a meaningful overview of the main patterns: for example, China and the US lead by a wide margin, while Germany is the only listed country whose consumption exceeds production. Some data are also inaccurate: Canada produced 618.9, not 561.2, and Russia’s consumption is 1,038, not 1.038. The claim that India and Canada are “huge countries with most population” is not a relevant chart feature. The response is also three words below the required minimum. Add a clear overview and select accurate, relevant comparisons before detailing figures.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is some basic organisation: the response moves from the highest-ranked countries towards those lower in the list, and phrases such as “After that,” “On other hand,” and “At the end” signal sequence. However, the opening promises a comparison but gives no actual overview, and the body reads largely as a list rather than a progression of grouped comparisons. The paragraphing also does not clearly separate an overview from supporting details. Some links are awkward or unclear, such as “when we come to Russia and japan its almost same” and “On other hand there were some countries.” Organise the report into a brief introduction, a clear overview, and detail paragraphs grouping the leading countries and the lower figures.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some task-related vocabulary, including “generated,” “consumption,” “produced,” and “utilized,” so the reader can generally identify the topic. However, the range is limited and several choices are inaccurate or unnatural for describing electricity data. “Intake and output of current” is not an appropriate way to describe consumption and production, while “power utilized” and “huge countries with most population” are imprecise or irrelevant. Spelling and word-form errors such as “intially,” “yeild,” and “kWh” used without a clear unit context also reduce control. Use standard chart language consistently, such as “electricity production,” “consumption,” “stood at,” and “exceeded,” and check spelling before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response attempts some longer sentence forms, for example, “After that we have US …” and “On other hand there were some countries…,” but most sentences rely on simple, repetitive patterns and several are difficult to follow. Errors include missing or incorrect articles and prepositions (“on 10 number”), faulty sentence construction (“when we come to Russia and japan its almost same”), and inconsistent punctuation, including missing spaces after full stops. The sentence about India and Canada also joins several ideas without clear grammatical control. These errors sometimes make relationships between the figures unclear. Practise accurate comparative structures such as “China produced slightly more electricity than it consumed” and use full stops to separate comparisons.
